he was installing some leaf guards for our gutters (none of the trees are ours, go figure haha) and he snapped this pic. I never get to see the city from that angle so thought it was kinda fun!

I'm having my annual physical tomorrow but I'm thinking of joining Function in addition to that?

I heard about Function on the Huberman podcast. Seems like a pretty cool idea to do in additional to my annual physicals. Y'all like it or would you recommend something different? Thank you!!!

My wife grew this 13 footer sunflower in her garden and I thought it was worthy of a share 🌻🙂

I don’t know if that’s normal tall or tall tall but this was our first year growing sunflowers and this one took off! I was impressed so got her permission to share 🙂🙃

thoughts on the 1996 Mitsubishi pajero mini XR-II? I'm looking at buying it.

just got it checked out by my local shop and they said i'm looking at around 2K or so in minor-ish repairs. he said it's doable to source the parts but that would be on me. the car is listed for $7k so i'm thinking of asking $5K and go from there. this would just be my cruising vehicle in Atlanta so not doing anything crazy with it. my mechanic recommended going for it but obviously would love a second opinion incase anyone has thoughts on it! thanks!

here's the sellers description. they have all the paperwork for it.

1996 Mitsubishi Pajero Mini RHD
68k miles (109k km)

Pros
New battery
Mechanically sound and drives great
Cold A/C
Working heat
Garage Kept
Oil change every 3k mi
Cons
Needs front pads and rotors (loud squeals with cold brakes)

does anyone live in the Mechanicsville area and if so do you like it?

this area of town is only a mile or so from me but i'm rarely over there. I just enjoying biking through for the Streets Alive events but I barely know anything about it. do you think it could be an up and coming neighborhood kind of like what Summerhill did a decade or so ago?

First time seeing “Operation Clean Sweep.” Something new or am I just out of the loop?

Neighbor just spotted this in Grant Park. I’m intrigued enough to post about it incase anyone has any intel. I usually just call 311 to report illegal dumping but maybe this is something in addition to that 🤷‍♀️

hey it's me again! the mural request guy from a few weeks ago. I just got it painted by some lovely folks I met through r/atlanta so I wanted to give Chris & Courtney a shout out! 🥰🐸☔️

here's the previous post just incase anyone wanted context. a few redditors asked for a follow up photo so I wanted to share their amazing work 🙃 I'll post a follow up photo tonight when its gets a bit darker because I think it'll look extra fun with our backyard lights.

Chris and Courtney were incredibly kind and thoughtful and just extremely talented artists so I was thrilled when we got connected on here. They go by Foxyswine incase you'd like to give em a follow on the gram. 10/10 experience AND they worked with my budget so extra bonus points.

BTW I had a bunch of great DM's from other artists in the city and a ton of nice comments to go in that OG post so just wanted to extend my gratitude to those that reached out to me. I'm planning on doing more around my house soon so I might reach back out in due time!

Last thing I'll just say is while I'm grateful to be back on r/atlanta it can be challenging at times. Some of the comments on that original post were so negative that I didn't even bother coming back to check them after that first day. Almost just wanted to delete the post entirely. Criticizing my contractor. Criticizing me for being on a budget. Alas the good outweighed the bad (as it always does on here) and I'm beyond thrilled with the outcome. Only reason I'm even rehashing this is just to let anyone else who might be feeling anxious or apprehensive about posting in here is that while thick skin helps, I think the good eggs outweigh the bad so if you're a good egg, I appreciate you!

hey its me again! (grant from baby baby, challenger deep, better bloom). I started the most low key side project ever so just sharing my first track 🙃

no drums on this one! unless you count my electric organ as drums. I take little audio snapshots from my life and add them to my organ sounds. its really messy and all one one take so lots of stuff to improve upon but I'm having fun with it so thats all that matters 🙃

We got a new shed/porch built and we're seeing if any artists would be interested in painting a mural on it!

small amount of context incase this is helpful.

located in grant park 30312.

wall is roughly 10x16 feet. Gus is roughly 1x3 feet.

if you're wondering why it's half purple that's because I wanted to use our previous boards from the old shed. I run a recycling business so repurposing and reusing things are important to me.

i'm definitely ballin on a budget. the screened in porch set me back quite a bit but i'm obviously happy to pay something. I half thought that if there is an artist out there that just needs a free wall to work on their craft this might be a good opportunity. you can come and go as you please. I can provide the paint. but yeah, just let me know if you're interested and whatever your rates/vision might be ! thanks : )
