Biopsy results: Splenic Tumor

Biopsy results: Splenic Tumor

Hi everyone. Results came back from the splenic tumor removal and unfortunately it’s splenic sarcoma. Life expectancy is 3-6 months without treatment. I will now meet with oncology to see what my options are.

Excuse my french but FUCK cancer. I feel so angry, sad, heartbroken and devastated. It’s not fair. He is only 6 years old. I was truly holding hope that it would come back benign.

Spleen mass removal surgery update:

Hi everyone! Reporting that Damian’s surgery went extremely well. They were able to perform surgery on him this morning - spleen with mass was successfully removed! The surgeon said his mass was 6.2 lbs. She also mentioned that they took a sample of his liver to also send to pathology in case the mass came back to be malignant to test if the cancer has spread to other organs.

He is actually walking and went to the bathroom several times! This is way better than I expected since
we were preparing for him to not be able to walk at all. He is in a lot of pain and out of it from surgery. Doesn’t want to eat food but very thirsty- we are controlling how much water intake he is getting. We will try to sneak his medicine in balls of cheese 🧀

I want to say I’m more on the hopeful side but preparing for the worst outcome. One thing that brings me peace is that we caught it on time and we are able to navigate next steps at our on terms (or his 🙂). Results from the biopsy will come back in a couple of days so I will update the results here in the comments.

Sorry for the spam of posts - my goal is to document it in this subreddit for people that might be in a similar situation in the future. Thank you everyone for the attentive love you guys have sent us our way!

Repotted it to pon - down 2 1/2 leaves. Pls tell me I’m not going to kill it.

I got this frydek not too long ago. I repotted it to pon and self-watering planter from lechuza last week. I lost two of the bottom leaves and now it’s yellowing on the third one. Water is just touching the bottom of the container. I removed it today to verify roots (Yes - I know. I’m disturbing it) and found rot at the bottoms of the roots - I think those were in water from the self-watering reservoir.

They are in front of a window and at night my grow light turns on for 4 hours. If it dies then whatever - I tried. But do you have any suggestions?

Just bought my first alocasia verigated frydek. Need all the suggestions to help it thrive.

I quickly transferred it to a chunky soil mix. But after seeing some post - I think I need to do a pon set-up. Please let me know anything that I need to do to help it thrive.

Heavy breathing + sudden weightloss

hi everyone! My baby boy is 6 years old. He goes to the vet every year for his annual check-up + blood work testing to verify that everything is ok. Last year’s test came back clear, no signs of anything concerning. Well - I took them to the vet yesterday to get a medication for his allergies and we were shocked to find out the lost almost 20lbs in the span of a year. I feel horrible and guilty for not noticing sooner (he is a fluffy guy) He eats his food everyday, gets multiple treats daily. The vet wants to see him in three weeks and go from there. They are taking a conservative approach and want us to increase his food intake. He obviously loves the idea.

He hasn’t changed in terms of activity level nor hunger. I have noticed 2 things: Heavy breathing + more water intake.

I’m so worried.
Last weight check in - 106
Yesterday - 88

UPDATE: He got his bloodwork and urine sample done today. Will receive results tomorrow! He also weighed 92.2 lbs.

Update after repotting: the DRAMA

First picture is her this morning after repotting her. The soil was soo moist and compact and the bottom that it was retaining tooo much water. I repotted her into a nice chunky soil mix. Left a bit of the old soil attached to the roots bc I didnt want to mess with her too much.

I really wanted to avoid root rot but I’m worried she is going to die bc of the shock.

I overwatered. I’m taking action but looking for extra advice!

Below are the things I plan on doing:

  1. Repot her into a real nice chunky soil mix. She is currently in a “indoor plant” soil I bought but I fear is not chunky enough and retaining water.
  2. If I find root damage - cut those bad boys off and give her a makeover.
  3. She is currently located in front of a window but I think she gets good amount of natural light without overdoing i

t. Wondering if I should change locations.

She is still producing a new leaf so I’m optimistic (maybe too optimistic lmao)
Any extra advice? what to do? What not to do?

Might have overwatered her but looking for extra advice

I might have overwatered my calathea (ugh I know). Here is what I’m going to do:

  1. Repot her into a real nice chunky soil mix. She is currently in a “indoor plant” soil I bought but I fear is not chunky enough and retaining water.
  2. I’m cutting back on the watering. I have read that they like moisture but I may have moisturized this girl wayyyy too much.
  3. If I find root damage - cut those bad boys off and give her a makeover.

She is still growing new leafs so that makes me hopeful (… maybe im optimistic?) but any extra advice is always welcomed. I’m a newbie into the hobby.

Are my snake plants dying?

Noticed some dropping on my snake plants. Haven’t watered them in 1 1/2 month. They are currently in my porch enjoying the nice texas weather. Usually they are inside close to a window but not direct.

I hope this game dies like Arc raiders

Amazing game but the community is the most lowlife miserable player base I have ever seen in my life. And the developers don’t do anything about it.

Petition to stop people throwing news paper on sidewalk

Just had a nasty fall because I stepped on a wet newspaper covered in plastic. Can we stop this service? (WHICH I never signed up for) neighbors never pick it up and it’s straight up littering.

Acer Predator x27U - showing “no input” when a PS5 is plugged in via HDMi, but works when a PC is also plugged in via DP.

Hello, I have had a Acer X27U X1bmiiphx for about 10 months. Have always had issues with the inputs and the UI on it since day one, but it has at least been functional with a PC plugged in via Displayport and a Ps5 plugged in via HDMI.

Unfortunately, today my PC died. Still unsure why but it seems that the power supply has likely given out. I unplugged it and the DP from my X27U. Unfortunately, now that the PS5 is the only input via HDMI, it is just showing “no input” in both HDMI 1 and 2 ports. I plugged my laptop in via HDMI and it displays just fine, but the PS5 still doesn’t show. I do not have a second DP-capable device to test with now that my desktop has died.

Any ideas? I saw this post describing something similar (see below)

Healer Main trying DPS role - I understand the hate healer mains get

I have been trying DPS and tank roles to be a well rounded player and omg the amount of bad healers in this games is astounding. I get healers who just focus on healing the tanks while ignoring the DPS that are getting the FH. When I’m tanking - I could be in the brink of death and once I die - that’s when the healers decide to ult. It’s like “oh shit our tank died - need to ult now to hold point” instead of healing prior to me dying so we could hold point and get the kills. Don’t get me wrong - there are some pretty bad dps/tanks out there but so do healers and I think they get a pat on the back bc they are “support players”.

I’m tired of giving my all healing and making sure I ult correctly to have a DPS go 0-4 and not willing to change. Yall deserve to derank and get thrown out of this game for good. This shit is getting exhausting.
