Using Hiby R1 Plugged in 24/7 (Or at the Very Least Using a Smart Plug)

I’m thinking about getting a DAP and the Hiby R1 looks like a decent first option. The only thing I’m worried about is that I’m mainly going to be listening to music in one spot (my bedroom), therefore the device is going to be plugged in almost 24/7 basically since I’m not gonna be moving it around a lot.
The thing I’m worried about is the battery, so to counter that I’m thinking about maybe using a smart plug/timer so that it charges every once in a while.

Best Firmware for Brick for Retroachievements (Specifically Hardcore)?

I currently have my Brick Hammer setup with NextUI and while I do love it, I don’t like how at the moment it doesn’t support Hardcore Retroachievements.
I’ve previously tried MuOS but the wifi was really buggy where sometimes after waking from sleep, it wouldn’t automatically connect to wifi and sometimes even trying to manually connect would softlock the device (the face buttons do nothing and I would have to force power off the device). I also didn’t like how long it took for it to connect to wifi in general compared to NextUI.
I also looked into StockMix, but the Retroarch version was 1.19.1 and I would really like for it to be 1.22.1+ for multiset support.

JIT Doesn’t Stay Active for More Than a Minute

I’m having this issue where even though I have silent audio and background locations always enabled in StikDebug, and I have background app refresh enabled, JIT stops working after a minute or so. If I'm in a game in Manic EMU, the game still runs, but afterwards if I open up another game with JIT, it crashes immediately. Or if I’m just idle on Manic without doing anything for a minute JIT also stops working and opening a game with JIT crashes the app. I'm on iOS 26.5, StikDebug 3.1.6, Manic and StikDebug installed on Sidestore portion of Sidestore + Livecontainer and not the LiveContainer portion

Anyone else have this issue where sometimes you don't want to play a game because the set gives so little points and/or specifically search for games with sets that gives a lot of points?

In Your Opinion, What’s the Biggest Size a Handheld Can Be Before You Don’t Consider It an EDC Device Anymore?

IMO, if it’s bigger than a phone or something that can barely fit in regular pockets

Anybody have any information on how to teardown/disassemble the Pocket Taco. I currently do have a replacement in route for the one I already have with a bad dpad, but I want to try and see if I can fix the dpad on the Taco I already have while I wait for the replacement to come by doing the tape mod to the dpad membranes.

I did see a Reddit thread on someone else wanting to do a teardown, and apparently the rubber is easy to peel off, and all you need to do afterwards is pry where the rubber ends or smth like that, but I was also wondering for the rubber if it is possible to put back on or if it is stuck on with glue
