I roped my wife into making art for my steam page, and she made a comic about it
She is an artist, but this was her first game art project.
Check it out on steam (only the small capsule is visible there though): https://s.team/a/3244080/

She's an artist but not a game artist, this is her first game related work!
This wasn't supposed to be NSFW game | CarveLight
This is NOT representative of the game!

My game is running 90 fps locked on Deck
We optimized CarveLight for deck specifically, but 90fps locked at ~7W is pretty impressive, deck is quite powerful. This translates to 5-6h of game time!

We've built raytraced 2D lights for our game.
CarveLight has minimalistic and sharp visuals, so it was important get the lighting right.

I've been building my game with Steam Deck in mind since day one
CarveLight is an artillery game, Worms-like with a twist: no health bars, just mass destruction and throwing enemies out of bounds.

CarveLight: Hotseat artillery game
Hi Everyone,
A friend and I have been working on this game for quite some time. I am a big Worms (mostly Armageddon) fan, and have wanted to create an artillery game forever.
The twist with CarveLight is that there are no health bars, the only way to destroy an enemy car is to throw it into the "water" (out of bounds). IMO those are the most satisying kills in worms, so I wanted to create a game around that concept. The weapons and tools available help with movement and modify the terrain. It's also running an actual physics engine.
There is going top be a demo on Steam Next Fest next year, whishlist it if you find it interesting!

Also, AMA about the game :)
