How to get mom from talking so much?

Mom (82) has Alzheimers and I am her full-time caregiver. We're in the house a lot and she understandably gets bored.

She doesn't enjoy anything (tv, music, puzzles, crafts, coloring, magazines, etc), so it's hard to keep her occupied. That leaves her wanting to talk to me all day long.

I can't get any of my own things done, plus I cannot take all the talking. (Even if she was talking about stuff that made sense.) I enjoy a solitary life with peace and quiet, so managing all of this is doing a number on my mental health.

Any tips or suggestions? She's probably stage 6.

Risperidone

My mom (82) with Alzheimers was just prescribed .25mg Risperidone for her agitation and aggression. Just been taking it for 4 days, but she seems more confused and agitated than before. What are your experiences with this drug?

I'm going to call her psychiatrist tomorrow.

Jumbo Jack 2 for $5

Was gonna use a paper coupon for this, but my new favorite Jack location apparently always has this deal. Small upcharge of $.60 each for cheese.

I keep finding out about unadvertised deals this location offers. The other one is 2 for $3 breakfast jacks. 👍

Avocado Ranch Chicken Stacker is the best item I've had at TB recently.

It tastes light and refreshing, compared to most other things I've eaten at TB.

I only tried it cause I saw other Redditors saying it was good. Thanks! 👍

Recently found this app (Meal Steals) that lists current deals at a lot of fast food and restaurants.

I would never have known that Habit Burger offers a free Double Charburger with $8 purchase when the Dodgers do something. They might offer similar things for other local teams.

Cheesy Double Beef Burrito

I rarely go to Taco Bell, because I prefer a different place, but I was pleasantly surprised to find a tasty burrito for $2.99. TB's prices have gone up so much, and I always see such skimpy portions on this sub, but mine was stuffed full. Anyone else really like this burrito?

Question for employees

My local BK always shows the cheddar tots available on the app in the early day, but they're always missing on the app at night when I want to order them. Seems like they can't be selling out of them every day. Is there another issue with them?

*A few weeks ago I ordered them for lunch at the drive-thru, but they gave me crown nuggets instead (I only noticed after I drove away). Makes me think they don't have any tots in stock ever and it's an app glitch when they show as available. ???

When did this happen?

$3.89 for a large iced coffee? I thought it was bad enough at $2.79, which I could swear was just the other day. Thank goodness I'm making my own coffee.

Of course, this is in the Los Angeles area. How much is the REGULAR price at your location? (And no, I don't get any app deals for their coffee. Haven't in over 2 years.)
