S5 rewatch and Ramona is ⛷️

I know that many of the ladies are suspected to be on uppers but Ramona in season 5 is on a different planet some nights.

I’m laughing so hard at her dinner in Miami with aviva and reed - she takes a bite of ceviche and is obsessing over the “calandro” (cilantro) while reed is trying to talk to her and the poor guy doesn’t know how to handle it at all.

What are some other stand out moments where the ladies are probably flying high?

Are barefoot shoes suitable for people with an extremely high arch?

I have massively high arches and am prone to rolling my ankle - in fact I just got fake ligaments surgically put into my right ankle due to chronic sprains!

I am considering barefoot shoes but usually choose shoes with strong arch support. In the past my favorite shoes were chacos, but I developed toe and foot pain from them over time.

Curious to hear from other high arched people who wear barefoot shoes and how the foot adapts!

Will using an anti allergy duvet encasement affect a wool duvet’s ability to modulate temperature?

I sleep hot and recently purchased a wool duvet insert but realized it is not machine washable (duh - but I’ve never had anything wool). I have a dust mite allergy and usually wash my bedding weekly.

I am considering encasing the duvet in a tight weave all cotton duvet encasement made for allergies then putting a linen duvet on top of that (with the intention of almost never removing the anti allergy cover to protect the wool from dust mites.)

Do you think the tight weave cotton will defeat the purpose of having a breathable, temperature modulating wool duvet insert?

Do other allergy sufferers have suggesting for non- polyester duvets that work well for you?

Bedding help with dust mite allergies

I recently purchased a lightweight wool comforter because I sleep extremely hot and my polyester fill was making it extremely challenging to sleep. My plan was to do the wool with some linen sheets.

I did not read instructions and I now see that it should only be dry cleaned. I usually wash my bedding in hot water once a week. I have a mild dust mite allergy according to allergy testing.

So, I was thinking of purchasing a dust mite protective cover for the duvet (all cotton, tight weave for dust mite protection) that I would then top with a linen duvet. And wash the linen duvet weekly and the wool professionally once a year.

Do you think having two duvet covers will defeat the purpose of wool’s temperature regulation?

If so,

Should I just scrap the wool idea entirely and get something washable? If so, any suggestions?

Tysm in advance for your thoughts!

Pain during arousal and intercourse from trauma and nervous system dysregulation - suggestions?

TW brief mention of SA (no details):

For the last 3 years I have experienced pain during sex and pain from arousal - after seeing multiple specialists and doing many tests/scans/imaging that show I am completely healthy I believe it is due to nervous system dysregulation and my body associating sex with trauma.

10 years ago, I experienced SA and am still recovering, though in many ways I am doing incredibly well. However, 3 years ago I had a completely unrelated traumatic incident that set off a 6 month panic attack as well as sleep issues.

After that period of my life, I began having this pain. I am in a committed, safe, loving relationship with my partner, but I’m unable to partake in anything sexual or even sensual because this pain begins - like all my muscles tightening and feeling a deep ache. It also triggers fear and anxiety though I consciously know I am safe.

I am wondering if there are any practices or exercises that could help my system and body uncouple sex and pain/trauma?

It has been so long and is not getting better despite a year of pelvic floor pt, years of therapy, years of general somatic and vagus nerve stimulation exercises, and increasing closeness and trust with my partner.

Thank you so much for your insight!

Best soft, cooling duvet cover? (bamboo or eucalyptus ideally)

I have had a Buffy duvet cover for 10 years which I LOVED, but now it has a ton of holes and it is time for a replacement. Buffy has gotten very expensive and reviews state the quality has drastically degraded.

I would love to find a duvet cover that is cooling and soft but that is not a sateen weave.

My sheets are bamboo and I love them, and my previous duvet cover was eucalyptus.

I have been looking into quince, olive and crate, and some amazon brands. Does anybody have a recommendations that are cooling, soft, non sateen?

TIA!!

I understand summer is cool and spring is warm, yet after drapes and trying to type myself, I think I look best in mostly soft summer colors, but many light spring colors also look beautiful.

This confused me - how is this possible?

I know that most people could have multiple colors from different seasons and subtypes look good, but to me spring and summer are very different.

I would like to understand a bit more when it comes to someone’s best colors ranging across seasons despite different undertones.

(Btw - I am not neutral - my skin is absolutely cool to the point where I struggle to find foundation that is cool and pink enough! Cool light brown hair and eyes that are a mix of gray/light blue/ green).
