Desperately Looking for Legitimate Remote Healthcare/Research Jobs. Please Help 🥹

I've been trying to figure out how to find legitimate remote work for so long, and I'm at the point where I'm genuinely exhausted and crying out of frustration and desperation.

Somewhere within clinical research, clinical documentation improvement (CDI), healthcare coordination, and health information.

The problem is that so many remote jobs seem to be restricted to people in the US or UK or any other countries. I'm based in Qatar, and I don't know which companies or websites are actually worth trusting anymore. I can't find jobs within the country because it's very slow in progress due to conflicts in GCC.

Can anyone recommend legitimate companies or official career pages that hire internationally? If you've personally found remote work in healthcare or research, I'd really appreciate hearing how you did it.

I'm just looking for some genuine guidance because I feel so stuck right now. Even one useful recommendation would mean a lot. Thank you.

Looking for Participants in a Health Research Study in Qatar (18+ | English or Arabic)

Hi everyone,

I wanted to share an opportunity to contribute to an IRB approved health research study being conducted by Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) in collaboration with the EuroQol Research Foundation and the Center of Clinical, Health Economics and Outcomes Research.

The study aims to better understand how people living in Qatar perceive different health and illness states using the EQ 5D 5L questionnaire. Findings from this research may help inform future healthcare planning, policy, and resource allocation in Qatar.

Who is eligible?
• 18 years old or above
• Qatari nationals, or non Qataris who have lived in Qatar for at least +5 years
• Interview available in English or Arabic

If you're eligible, I'd encourage you to consider participating. Community participation is essential for producing research that accurately reflects the perspectives of people living in Qatar and can ultimately contribute to improving healthcare for everyone.

I'll post the official registration link in the comments to keep the main post free of external links. Thank you to everyone who chooses to participate or share this opportunity with others who may be eligible.

Help...I feel like I lost a part of myself because of my mental health

I don't know if anyone else can relate, pero lately I've been grieving the person I used to be.

Growing up, I was always "that" student. Yung bright kid, achiever, A+ student from primary school hanggang university. I worked hard for everything. I went into nursing because I genuinely wanted to help people. I had so many goals for myself and honestly, I was excited about the future.

May depression and anxiety na rin naman ako back then, but it felt manageable. I never got therapy or medication kasi I grew up with abusive parents who didn't really believe in mental health. Natakot ako sa judgment, sa shame, sa possibility na hindi ako paniwalaan, so I just kept pushing through.

The weird thing is, when I finally got help, parang everything got worse.

The meds made me feel numb. Hindi naman lahat kasalanan ng meds, but I just didn't feel like myself anymore. I couldn't cry even when I wanted to. I felt disconnected. As a nurse, that scared me because I wasn't reacting the way I normally would in stressful situations. I was mentally exhausted and physically drained all the time.

Then the stress started affecting my body too. My PCOS symptoms got so bad that I would literally faint and vomit from the pain. The burnout from work and my home situation just kept piling up until I couldn't carry it anymore.

Eventually, I left nursing.

And honestly? I still haven't fully accepted that.

What hurts is knowing that I had so much more I wanted to do. I got opportunities that a lot of people would dream of having. I worked in a prestigious hospital. People would tell me how lucky I was, how much potential I had, how good I was at what I did.

I wanted to go into nursing informatics. I know I'm smart. I learn fast, adapt fast, I'm responsible, and I genuinely cared about my patients.

But somewhere along the way, survival became my full-time job.

I developed compassion fatigue. I became burned out. I became someone I barely recognized.

And I think that's what I'm mourning.

Not the job itself.

Me.

The version of me who was passionate, ambitious, energetic, curious, and hopeful. The version of me who thought she could do anything if she worked hard enough.

Sometimes I wonder where she went.

I know healing isn't linear. I know mental health struggles aren't a personal failure. But I can't help feeling sad when I think about how different my life could've been if I wasn't carrying so much pain for so many years.

I don't think I've lost all of myself.

But I do think I lost a part of me.

And I think I'm still grieving her. 🥹💔

I feel like I lost a part of myself to my mental health

I don't really know how to explain this, but I feel like I've lost a part of who I used to be. Growing up, I was always the bright kid. I was the A+ student from primary school all the way through university. I worked hard, got into nursing school, and genuinely loved the idea of helping people. I had goals, ambition, and so much excitement for the future. I struggled with depression and anxiety back then too, but it felt manageable. I never got treatment because I grew up with abusive parents who didn't believe in mental health issues. I was scared of being judged, dismissed, or shamed, so I just kept pushing through. Ironically, when I finally got help through therapy and medication, things seemed to get worse before they got better. The medication made me feel emotionally numb. I couldn't react the way I normally would. I couldn't cry even when I wanted to. At work, I felt disconnected from situations that should have mattered deeply to me. I was mentally exhausted and physically drained all the time. The stress eventually started showing up in my body too. My PMOS symptoms became so severe that I would faint and vomit from the pain. The burnout from my home life and work kept piling up until I couldn't do it anymore. What hurts the most is that nursing wasn't just a job to me. I cared about my patients. I wanted to make a difference. But I developed compassion fatigue and empathy fatigue to the point where I barely recognized myself. I ended up leaving nursing, and I still grieve that decision. Sometimes I think about what could have been. I was accepted into opportunities that many people dreamed of. I worked in a prestigious hospital. People would tell me how lucky I was and how much potential I had. I had plans to move into nursing informatics. I genuinely believed I had a lot more to offer. And maybe that's what hurts. It's not that I think my life is over. It's that I know what I was capable of, and I can't stop mourning the version of me that never got the chance to fully exist because she was busy surviving. I miss the person who was passionate, driven, curious, and full of energy. I miss feeling sharp. I miss caring about things the way I used to. Some days it feels like mental illness didn't just affect my life. It took pieces of me with it. I know healing isn't linear, and maybe I'm being too hard on myself. But right now, I'm grieving the person I thought I was going to become. And I don't know what to do with that grief...

The Waiting Is Starting to Affect My Tawakkul

I've been struggling with burnout in my faith lately, especially when it comes to tawakkul.

For almost a year now, I've been making dua consistently for freedom from a toxic household, a job, better health, and financial stability. I've been unemployed since August 2025 and have been trying my best to stay patient.

I pray my obligatory prayers, sunnah prayers, tahajjud every night, make dua after prayers and best time to make dua, do dhikr, adhkar, and read Quran. I genuinely believe that every act of worship is planting a seed and that Allah hears every dua.

The problem is that I'm exhausted.

I go through cycles where I feel motivated to pray and trust Allah, then I make dua again and again for the same things, and eventually I burn out. I've cried countless times because I feel trapped in my current situation. I've even tried professional help, which helped temporarily, but the feelings keep coming back.

I know Allah is not obligated to answer my duas in the way or timeline I want. Intellectually, I understand that. But emotionally, I'm struggling.

How do you maintain tawakkul when you've been praying for something for a very long time and don't see any change? How do you keep your heart from becoming exhausted?

I'm not looking for judgment. I'm genuinely trying to hold on to my faith while being honest about where I am right now.
