Hi everyone,

I'm a 20F and have been dealing with this for about 2 months. I'm really concerned.

It started after spending a sunny day outside in April. My face became extremely itchy when I got home. I assumed it was heat rash or a damaged skin barrier, so I switched to a gentle routine (Cetaphil cleanser + moisturizer + aloe vera). My forehead and nose peeled a lot (I had been using Zitcare on my nose for blackheads but stopped because it was making my skin dry). The peeling improved, but my skin was left looking shiny and unusually textured.

A few days later I went out in the sun again. My nose became bright red, my arms developed intense itching with tiny bumps/rough texture, and the next morning I woke up with significant facial swelling.

A dermatologist diagnosed irritant contact dermatitis and prescribed Zempred tablets, Momate ointment for flares, and Benpanthen Sensicalm. The swelling improved within 2 days, but every time I went out in the sun I would flare again, and Momate would calm it down.

A few weeks later I went on an afternoon train journey. My neck and arms became intensely itchy, and by the next morning my entire face was swollen again. The skin around my mouth and under my eyes became extremely dry and peeled so badly that it hurt to open my mouth. Cetirizine helped reduce the swelling but didn't completely resolve it.

I saw another dermatologist, who suspects ?urticaria + irritant contact dermatitis (ICD). She prescribed cetirizine, Physiogel moisturizer, vitamin D, and B-complex + zinc. Mostly the dermats are focusing on using sun protection- spf, umbrella, avoid going out during afternoon etc but I need a permanent fix for this coz I cant keep avoiding going out forever.

My biggest triggers seem to be:

Afternoon sun

Heat/sweating

Hot water

Standing near a stove/flame

Interestingly, I can tolerate early morning sunlight (6–7:30 AM) without any problems.

Has anyone experienced anything similar? Does this sound more like heat/cholinergic urticaria, solar urticaria, or dermatitis with urticaria? Did antihistamines help, and how long did it take to improve?

I'm genuinely traumatized by the coercion (he didnt realize it was that until it was done) and I asked him about the way he would feel if he had a daughter facing the same thing and it seems like he's reflecting and he says that he's ashamed of himself and he is begging for a chance to make things right. I said I couldn't feel safe anymore around him and he said that he wont lay a finger on me coz apparently he doesnt need intimacy he just needs me. Do you think I would let myself down if I forgive him for this? Is it a forgivable thing in the first place? But fr tho he seems ashamed of himself

He got this new flat and we were there for like 3 to 4 times...we never had a place to spend proper time in and we were excited that we finally have a place to be us . The first time we were there I said I just wanna spend some wholesome time together coz it's the first day here tbh I needed time to get comfy in that place. We were just kissing and he escalated it , I said that I wanted to spend wholesome time together and he said wholesome? And started going down on me..at some point I was into it and we ended up making out. It was fine until this but yesterday it happened again in a worse way .

I was tired with only 2 hours of sleep and said that I just wanna watch smtg , eat and spend some time w him and leave..we ordered and he kept kissing me the moment we got there. I said that I'm not into it at all but he kept kissing me and kissing me...the tv was on and I was tryna divert it by asking what should we watch? Where's the remote? but the response was more kisses. God . I even once turned my face around when he was kissing but he got sad so I kissed him back. After we had food , he turned the tv off and said he wanted to talk and started kissing me again. At some point I felt like I should just give in so that it'd be over quick coz god the kissing wasnt stopping. I placed his hand on me and he asked me do you rly want it? I said yes. He asked me that same question like thrice quickly and I kept saying yes coz god I've been saying no for the past hour and nothing changed . Got into it, the makeout was done I was running late and he kept saying 5 more mins 5 more mins...eventually it ended thank god... I got home and felt really off and I couldn't stop crying and feeling like that's not what I wanted.

I communicated that I did it only for him and he said that he was disturbed and a lot was going so sorry for pushing you into it but you shouldn't have done it for me. Also he added that there was nothing else to do at his place and he wasnt in the mood for "wholesome". What should I do with him now?
