Hi all,

Since upgrading to Lineage 24 on my Moto G84, I am seeing the LHDC bluetooth codec exposed. However, I am unable to get it to work properly. Whenever I attempt to change to it, the audio goes to my built-in speaker even though bluetooth headphones are still connected.

Has anybody gotten this to work? Where can I file a bug report? Really would like this working (it works on stock).

In my opinion, it's as ugly as hell. Why fix something that's not broken?

I'm so happy with Lineage. Finally got it successfully installed on my new motorola phone after a brutal 8 day wait.

One thing i'm missing is the support for LHDC (including LHDC 5) which was available natively on stock A15, but is not available at all on Lineage. Google AI claims that since my phone has support for LHDC built in, there's a good chance the maintainer extracted and included them with the build, but alas, this is not the case.

I did read somewhere that it is included with A17. Will this codec be included natively with all Lineage 24 builds? Thanks!

Also: is there any way to get the date on the status bar next to the time? I used to do this through AOSP mods, but can't find any working way to do this now. And it's probably a very trivial thing to do if you know how to do it, but I do not.

I'm so sick of Motorola shenanigans. Today is day 8 that i've had this phone and it is still greyed out. We all know the reason they keep this greyed out for a week is so they can spy on their customers for a week before they go private. I'm sick of them.

Hi, Could somebody give me a proper breakdown of the options that I see for LHDC?

I have installed Bluetooth Codec Changer on my Android Phone, and for LHDC is shows Options 1 through Option 10.

Is the higher the number the higher bit-rate? Can someone give me a proper breakdown of what exactly these options mean? I couldn't easily find this using a search.

OK so I just purchased a Moto G84 5G.  It has Android 14 out of the box, The phone is listed in the Software Channel (in settings) as North American Retail, build # is UITC34.22-64-18. The security patch is May 1, 2024

When I try to do a OTA, it claims that the software is up to date, which is obviously not true.

So, I attempted to connect my phone to the Software Fix program, and was shocked by what it told me. It gave me two choices of firmware, claiming that my software channel is reteu, and it told me to pick Italy/France, or another one to update the phone. I have not done so because I do not know which one I am supposed to choose, as the two channels appear to be on different security patches (although both have A15) and while I suspect that either would work properly, this is not a guarantee.

In addition even if I update to A15 through Software Fix, I do not want to do this every single time I need to update, because it'll wipe my phone. What can be done to allow the phone to get normal OTA updates?

Does anybody have any clue what the hell is going on here?

I am planning on installing Lineage on my new phone, a Motorola G84 5G. This is my first experience with custom roms, so I want to clarify how to deal with Magisk, as I've seen some different advice.

When I root, everything i've read says i should sideload Magisk with adb, and then allow magisk to install and reboot, and i'll be rooted. That's all well and good, but what about OTA updates?

If I then try to restore images for an OTA update, will I still be able to do that? Won't magisk say that it doesn't have any boot image on file? In the past, when magisk says that there's no boot image on file, I simply extract the boot.img from the zip file, patch it with magisk, and restart, and then it has the image. But different things i've read indicate that boot.img for a custom rom isn't the img to patch, but rather init.boot.img or something like that.

Can someone who knows the ins and outs of this please help clarify definitively the correct way to handle this? Thanks!

Quick question, does Lineage come rooted already? Is Magisk installed? Or do I have to root it the same way i'd root the stock ROM? thanks!

this show is amazing. Feel bad for >!Henry. Kind of did it to himself though. And I"m kinda disappointed that Father Khatri didn't say anything about the inconsistencies in the girl's story regarding the priesthood that were pointed out by others earlier in the season.!<

To his credit, he is amazingly truthful about what just happened. For those that didn't watch, the Mets had a little league play where the ball was misplayed in LF, then thrown away at the plate. Ronnie roasted the Mets, saying, the pitcher needs to back up every single time, even if he only catches two balls a year, he must do it. He then was amazingly honest, "If it was addressed, it wouldn't happen. It happens every single game, we just don't point it out."

If that's not an embarrassment to the entire Mets organization, I don't know what is. And we have the best, most truthful announcers in the game.

I created a pacman hook to restart the thunar daemon after the thunar-git package updates (i use thunar-git rather than the regular thunar package because it has any more features).

The hook is this:

However, when it runs, it fails to restart the daemon, with the following error message:
