37M London, UK. London Dog Dad, Brisket Enthusiast, Looking for Friends

Six years in London and my dogs are still my only social strategy. Looking to fix that; seeking real-life friends for actual conversations and casual hangs.

My career's been a weird scenic route: Army to luxury fashion to product manager in Canary Wharf. I gym most mornings, do reformer Pilates, and row to Viking war drums. Yes, it's ridiculous. No, I'm not changing it.

Outside work: improv comedy (classes, performing, good for anxiety), cocktail making (got into it watching Mad Men, finally took a bartending course in 2024, now too many bottles), Texas-style brisket on a Big Green Egg, D&D as a cleric in way over his head, currently deep in Dungeon Crawler Carl, and learning not to destroy my house via DIY. TV-wise I'm currently rewatching Succession, Breaking Bad/Better Call Saul, The Bear, and Mad Men.

I work in Canary Wharf and can meet there or in Central. Down for a drink, gym session, or just chat.

If this sounds good, message me. Not sure what to say? Tell me the best thing you've watched, cooked, or read recently. Or a random fact that changed how you see things. Deep or dumb, I'm here for it.

[23/07/26] Drinks after Work at Market Stalls Canary Wharf

Reposted because I put the wrong date last time. This is happening this Thursday in the year 2026!

I recently started a new job in Canary Wharf that has me coming in to the office five days a week, so I figure I might as well try and meet some people in the same boat. If you're based in and around Canary Wharf, let's meet up for a quick drink at Market Halls Canary Wharf! I get off at 5pm so can meet up around then.

About me: 37M and into smoking Texas style BBQ, making cocktails, and performing improv comedy when I can. I also have two dogs so while dogs won't be in attendance for this, I have tons of photos on my phone I can share with you in person.

Feel free to comment here or send me a chat request if you're interested and we'll set something up!

Office culture difference: USA vs UK?

I recently joined JPMC in London as a VP within CIB as a product manager and because of family reasons am looking to move back home to the US, hopefully Plano, in about two years. All I see here though is people hating on JPMC. Is it really that bad and why do you think so?

I've worked full time in office in the before times and have worked in corporate America before so aside from those two main gripes, is there anything else to call out? I'm 5 days a week in office in London too and I've been blessed with a great team so it's honestly not that bad for me. I'd love to stay with JPMC if I can but will stay away if USA JPMC really is that bad.
