As a fellow literature lover and a software engineering student, I always felt bummed out about how hard it is to find a dedicated space for Urdu reading and writing—especially for younger folks who prefer Roman Urdu.

Over the last 4 months, I built Diwan to fix that. It's a completely free app and web platform where you can publish poetry and prose, connect with other writers, and even use an auto-script feature that lets you write in Urdu or Roman Urdu and view/publish in both instantly.

It currently has Android and web versions (iOS coming soon via web for now). I’d genuinely love some feedback from fellow book and poetry lovers here. Is the UI clean? Would this be something you'd actually use? Roast it or review it as brutally as you want!

Hi guys, I am a SE student and an enthusiast of literature in general (Urdu and English both). Recently I felt like the culture of reading and writing was declining and the people who do have no platform to share it with other people who are also interested in literature (I myself am a writer so I can understand the feeling), so for the previous 4 months I built this app called Diwan (it is completely free to use / publish and read). It is solely made for Urdu literature. For now, it is available for Android and web (iOS version releasing soon, iOS users can use it on web).

Features:

• You can publish/draft your poetry/prose etc. easily.
• Follow other creators, like and comment on their literature works, and meet new like-minded people who also love Urdu literature.
• AI meaning and grammar checking.
• Write once in Urdu or Roman Urdu and publish it in both automatically; read in Roman Urdu as well (us Gen Z people will love this).

I just wanted to get some reviews on this app. Like, how is the idea? And is the app in the current condition any good? In my opinion, the app seems decent enough and I did not come across major bugs or anything (everyone loves their own child). Is this an app you would use regularly? What are the changes that would help this app to be more user-friendly, etc.? Your review/critique is appreciated.

Hi, I need some advice from other itch.io creators.

A while ago, I contacted itch.io support because several of my asset packs had become unindexed from search and tag browsing. Support fixed most of the affected packs, but one of them remained unindexed.

Later, I updated a few more of my existing packs, and those also became unindexed. I also uploaded a brand-new asset pack, and it has never been indexed either.

I checked the page source of the affected pages, and they all contain:

<meta content="noindex" name="robots"/>

I've already contacted itch.io support again (ticket #379257), but while I wait for a response, I wanted to ask if anyone else has experienced something similar.

• Did your pages eventually get reindexed?
• How long did it take to get resolved?
• Was there anything you did that helped?

Any advice or shared experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
