The issue is not the DSA, nor is it moderate Dems, it is that as a whole, Democrats cannot stand up and say we are proud of our party and Who We Are and what our party stands for

Regardless of what you will say about any Democrat in the modern day there is one thing that is becoming increasingly clear:

Democratic candidates are increasingly rejecting the Democratic brand, treating it as something to run away from, to separate themselves from, a shackle around their ankle.

You see it with Rob Sand in Iowa, with Talarico in Texas, you see it with Progressive candidates in New York, Democrats are literally ashamed to be Democrats.

And this leads into a much bigger issue: what is a Democrat?

I'm not asking that sarcastically, what are the Democratic party's policies?, what is its core ideology?, is it a full on socialist party?, is it a center left party?, or a moderate left leaning party?

These questions are really hard to answer for the Democrats and that's the problem.

Say what you will about the GOP, every single candidate currently running under their Banner stands with the party tall and proud, is proud to be a member of the party, and can tell you the party's core policies.

We as a party can literally never regain the strength we had during the New Deal if we cannot stand tall and proud behind our Banner, if we continue being ashamed of our own existence.

We can build a coalition, but only after we let go of Shame and embrace being Democrats.

The far left is rising for the same reason the far right is rising

Conservatives keep saying that the far right is only Rising because liberals and leftists keep allowing Mass migration and sending out foreign aid, Mass welfare and not wanting election security and radical extremism and not addressing concerns and all these other horrible things

But now that the far left is rising, conservatives are saying that the left is becoming more extreme because of their own fault, and that they need to become more moderate.

But the thing is it applies both ways, in the same way people don't want Mass migration, foreign aid or mass welfare, they also don't want corruption and patronage, pointless Wars that alienate allies and cost money, and cutting everything while somehow causing more debt

The right went much farther and still failed, they have nobody to blame but themselves

Postal 2 Redux really needs better controller support

Nowadays a lot more people are playing games on PC with controller, and the original game doesn't really do that very well.

I know it has controller support but it's hard to map, hard to use the menus, and breaks often.

It would go a long way if it was just easier to map and use the menus with a controller rather than the clunkiness we have now

All the people saying the Democrats should moderate don't ever explain what happens after we win

People always say the Democrats should moderate to win, but if we have to moderate to win Republican voters what's the point of even winning?

Like let's say we actually do it and it works we get 300 House Seats and 40 governorships and fucking 55 seats and the presidency, what do we actually do?

If we're going to pass conservative legislation, then what was the fucking point we spent all that money and time and resources to just do the same shit anyway?, and then what maybe have Universal Health Care we can just fucking make Universal Health Care and call it a day and that's it we're done, just becoming a universal healthcare advocacy group if that's going to be the only thing we're actually doing.

If we just have two fucking capitalist, anti-abortion, pro gun, Pro voter ID, etc parties, that is a waste of everyone's time and money, we can can just dissolve the Democrats at that point.

Of course the people saying this are not Democrats but Republicans who think modern Republicans are too mean so it doesn't really matter

Unpopular opinion: Dukakis was right

He was objectively the better choice than bush, he had better economic policy and he was a better governor.

He just came off stiff and awkward so nobody liked him, once people actually got a taste of bush they fucking hated him

Some fucking how the pendulum on Obama has swung so much he is genuinely underrated

The way he's talked about by both sides online you would think like there was a fucking Great Depression under him.

To leftists, he's literally Reagan 2, he did not immediately establish free healthcare and execute George Bush within 5 minutes of taking office so therefore he is literally the exact same as Dick Cheney, and quite literally the devil.

To conservatives, he is also literally the devil, he completely destroyed the economy (even though every metric says otherwise), abused power, (even though he didn't), was going to take their guns and build camps, (never did), enriched himself (even though he didn't), and lied about his marriage, religion, sexuality and place of birth (even though he didn't do any of those things).

When you look at what actually happened during his presidency, just the cold hard numbers and facts, he was pretty good, will I admit he did not live up to the standard?, absolutely, he was totally overhyped, but it's clear he did a pretty good job at best and an okay job at worst.

Could WOA serve as essentially a hub for future Hitman content?

Something I've been thinking about is that Ubisoft basically made a HUB for all Assassin's Creed content, and the whole idea is that you can track everything in one area.

So I've been thinking instead of making a direct Hitman 4 that's a separate game, what if they instead made six to eight episodes of a "Hitman 4" DLC-sequel for WOA that players could pay for and add to their existing hub, and released all the future content like that

Cuz we already have it set up in a similar way, it's not unscalable, and from what we've seen they're still able to make a lot of upgrades and changes despite it.

What are your thoughts on this idea?

How moral is this man?

A Man named Greg Alexander cures cancer, tuberculosis, pretty much every major deadly disease, ends all major wars, completely eliminates racism and homophobia in the world, solves world hunger, and makes electricity more freely available.

This same man is also a serial killer, serial rapist, and serial arsonist, he has killed over 250,000 adults and children, he has raped over 10,000 people and 2,000 kids, he is a former SS higher up and killed hundreds of thousands of Jews, along with participating in a lot of other genocides, his arson has destroyed over $350 billion a property damage and claimed 70,000 lives, he is overall responsible for millions of deaths.

his crimes are unrelated to the good he did, he could've done the good without doing the crimes, he could've done the crimes without doing the good.

is he a bad man or a good man?

Miyamoto is transported to 2011, can he make the Wii U a success?

On june 15th, 2025, Shigeru Miyamoto is transported to June 7, 2011, a piece of paper tells him he is trapped in a Time Loop, which will last from this day to March 3rd 2017, the only way to escape is to make the Wii U a success, can he do it?

For The purpose of this challenge, success is defined as the Wii U selling at least 35 million units, and at least 400 million software sales.

He cannot change the core of the Wii U or Nintendo's business model, he has to keep the GamePad the wiimotes and the console but everything else is fair game, IE, he can't just make the switch 6 years early, he also cannot buy more than one console himself or have others buy them on his behalf

People will treat him like Shigeru Miyamoto,

Can he do it?

Would you take this job

Your boss hands you a briefcase with the company's logo containing $500,000 in cash meant as bonus payments for employees 650 miles away.

You have to drive that far, drop off the briefcase, and drive back, in exchange they will give you $5,000, and pay for all expenses of gas, food and hotels, you will also be using a company car.

Do you take the job?
