Every 10th post in the main subreddit is people begging for more outfits to spend their money on. Same community that rightly complains about the game so much for DLC characters pricing is begging for purely cosmetic content that costs almost as much as a brand new character. This community needs to get a grip. It’s a fighting game not dress to impress.
Played some Jamie today. I feel dirty.
Shes the equivalent of capcom jiggling keys to entertain the player base, while failing to provide anything meaningful.
I don’t want to just win I want to induce controller-breaking anger. Whether the match was close or lob-sided, whether I play well or not, whether I even win or not... I want a character that physically and psychologically hurts to play against. I want to make people consider hanging the gloves. I want every interaction to cause pain and misery.
The latest update has buffed a good portion of the cast very significantly, arguably some needed buffs for some but I fear that we've crossed a threshold where further buffs as an approach to balance is gonna be a net negative to the integrity of the gameplay experience. I can only hope this is an attempt to sway players from leaving for Marvel Tokon, and that the mid season patch will tone things back down to a reasonable level.
It's not a short game. 12 hours and I was going as fast as I could. Anyway, I'm ready for half life 2!
A decade of concord.
The main reason I never got into marathon is because it is an extraction shooter based around being in a squad. Yes there is Rook for a solo experience but that still puts you against teams. Isn't the extraction fantasy better served by a free for all design?

I am the Marisa, I was on a 12 win streak.
I know I'm not supposed to be great playing her day one or anything but damn her kit is so one dimensional. Also her moves are stubby AND slow I just can't reliably land any solid combo starters. She's supposed to be a scrub killer I was the only scrub killed today.
