Welcome back to the bi-weekly discussions, where this time, we're discussing Lady Boyle's Last Party, a fan-favorite (from what I can tell) mission.
I like how the rest of the Estate District isn't as lit up as the Boyle Mansion grounds, creating a nice contrast with the walled of Boyle Mansion. There's a party going on, and you feel left out by not going there.
The mission itself is also excellent, in how easily you're able to blend into the masquerade, as the aristocrats in attendance assume your masked is just based on the Masked Felon, and the party space shows a contrast. While the rest of Dunwall is falling apart outside, these people continue to party as if there isn't a plague going on, with way more food than what would be needed.
Now, I've never really done Pendleton's request to duel Lord Shaw, but it exists as an option if you want a rune or 100 Coins.
The Nonlethal route is horrifying though, as Lord Brisby abducts the Boyle sister who is our target with our assistance, to go as far away from the chaos afflicting the city at the moment. Though this has a strangely positive ending, as in The Corroded Man, Waverly (The canonical target) took control of the estate after Brisby disappeared.
So what do you think of the mission, either on a first run or subsequent playthoughs?
As we get closer to the 5 year anniversary, LongLiveTGAMM has created an interest form for what y'all would want to see for that anniversary!
I'll be honest, I didn't expect to have a royal flush. It just kinda happened.
This is something of an experiment, called "bi-weekly discussions" to discuss characters, lore, missions, locations, items, etc. These will be held once every 2 weeks.
Who better to start with than the Royal Protector himself, Corvo?
So what do you guys think of Corvo? (In terms of design, personality, appearances in the DIshonored games, etc)
Cosmetics used:
Brock's Locks (Hair)
Samson Skewer (the knife)
Heavy Tourism (the shirt)
This is something I've been thinking about for a while. For me, Tari is a great protagonist because she starts the series shy and nervous, but slowly finds her footing over the course of the three seasons.
That, and she has a cute design and great voice.
Sam & Max have some pretty major representation in the two games, that with Max as an opponent in the first game (with Sam as a cameo) and Max as an opponent, and the second game promoting Sam to an opponent while Max sits nearby.
There's also the Sam & Max card set in the first game, along with the table themes of Max imp, Max skull and crossbones (which turns Max into his skeletal form), the Freelance Police logo, and Stinky's diner as a table theme in the remaster of the first game.
Poker Night 2 has a trio of unlocks, called the Sam & Max 25th anniversary, and with cards, chips and table felt all selected for the theme, it gives Sam a tuxedo (and Max a bowtie) and has Max mess with those eliminated.
These are:
-Captain Flynn (Skylanders series)
-Brock Samson (The Venture Bros)
My vote goes to 100% Molly McGee. Just because you’re not as adapted to your background culture doesn’t make you any less part of it.
Janna ended up as one of my favorites as a first time watcher of this show (along with Ludo and King River).
I like how she just so happened to have a talent/gag/connection that happened to be beneficial (or funny) for what was going on, such as having a book on the Naysaya, having Marco's fingerprint in "Gift of the Card," or faking a flat pulse (but only for 60 seconds).

Not really sure what to flair this as, since it's not a fanwork.
