I bought an SL7 in 2025 and generally was happy with it initially but noticed some major downfalls overtime like it’s not that performant compared to my MacBook m2 at the time

The fact I can’t run a an eGPU with it jsut sucks and there’s no driver support along with the fact usb c to hdmi still doesn’t have night light functioning properly, freecad also sucks on it for basic rendering

Arm64 right now is more of an ideology but doesn’t work well in practice

so I’m switching to panther lake and moving on, I’ll be back in 10 years when they finally fix all the issues/drawbacks

anyone got this model? seems to be one that there isn’t a lot of hype around but the specs look amazing

does anyone know why I’m having this issue? I checked powercfg and it does restart when on sleep but there’s no reason, there’s no way to understand what’s causing the issue

the price of the Intel 386h is like $1000+ more than the AMD Ryzen 9 ai version

ill be using it for data science machine learning and gaming

not sure the Intel one is worth that much for about 3 hours more battery life in normal day to day usage? Like id never use it without it being plugged in (given that its the ferarri of laptops you wouldn’t really drive it economically with that bit ass w16 engine)
