Is it Possible to do a Standalone Mod without extra Components?

Hi, I have a CR10 3D printer and I've been wondering if it's possible to do the standalone mod without having to buy new components (besides screws and basic hardware).

All mods I've seen so far require extension cables, raspberry pi and a lot of other things.

EDIT: It seems there was a misunderstanding. I'm looking for 3D printed standalone mods/housing, I'm not opposed to using extra components entirely I'm simply trying to avoid buying electrical components

Is Practical FX allowed?

Hi, I see a lot of posts about renders and animation but no Practical FX. Is it okay to share?

[ When I say practical I mean: Animatronics, Puppets, Make-up and Rigs ]

Turning Old Projects into Posters

Trying something new, I made these on my phone in Alight Motion using pictures of some of my favorite art projects.

I plan to print them out but I'm worried it's all gonna be dull and blurry, we'll see..

[Commission] Cardboard Artist - Open for Work

Hello Everyone 👋

I'm Praise, a Cardboard Artist from Nigeria. I've been making art from Cardboard for 7+ years and I think I'm ready for my first commission.

Materials I use are:

Cardboard

Hot glue

Super glue

Brown Paper

Velcro and Elastic Straps

And sealant

Here I'm sharing previous projects which mainly consists of full body cosplay armors but lately I've been focused on making Headgear and Helmets.

I hope you like them, and I look forward to working with you

What Am I Doing Wrong?

Hello Everyone 👋, I'm Praise and I make art from Cardboard.

It feels like I'm doing something wrong because whenever I share my work,I get a ton of positive comments and praise but no one has ever shown interest in buying one or making a commission. Even when the post is explicitly about selling my projects.

what could I be doing wrong ?

I work with basic corrugated cardboard and hot glue and that's about it, recently some of my creations have been made with PVC [ pic 5,7 and 8] and I usually don't paint the cardboard as that's something I've recently embraced as part of my Art style and I avoid using printed templates.

I've been making art and posting consistently (in all the right places) for over 5 years but never got anywhere, what can I do differently?

Thank you all in advance

Cardboard Concept of A Low Rank Squad Leader

I'm not great with stories,I just make whatever I feel like without much thought. This time I tried making what I imagine a Mid-Low Rank Squad Leader would look like in a futuristic setting

Works for the empire,is replaceable, one of thousands

I hope you like it ⚪ ⚪ [ also first time posting here ]

Every Full Body Armor I've Crafted

Mostly Cardboard but some of the more recent ones are made with PVC. Handcrafting is fun but I'm switching to a more computer based workflow for more complex projects

Hope you like it ⚪ ⚪

Is It Right To Call Myself an Artist?

I make Props and Costumes, mainly from cardboard and sometimes when someone asks me what I do I find it really difficult to answer

..do I saw I'm a cosplayer? an artist? or a costume designer..?

What would you say if you were in my shoes?

The first four builds are my most recent and made from PVC, everything else is made with Cardboard and Hot Glue

I started out with prop making and slowly did more and more full armor projects as I got older

Everything is handcrafted without Templates or CAD. I don't know if this counts as self promotion but I really could do better with a Laptop 😉

I hope you like it ⚪ ⚪

I saw dude suggest "wearing armor as regular clothes"... that's uh,an interesting idea 😅

I don't know if this belongs here but I tried making a couple (non practical) armors that are inspired by Streetwear and fashion in general

Still haven't found that sweet spot between comfort and armor

From the earliest to the latest:

• Hikari Yusha [unpainted]

• Hikari Yusha [finished]

• Yūki no Taté

• The Pioneer Armor

This has been a crazy fun experiment but I think this it where it ends. I have a couple more creative ideas I'd like to work on in the future but ... I've got to get a job 😆

I need to get a Laptop and a DSLR Camera and 'Creative work' just isn't cutting it

See y'all 👋
