I'm fairly confident that I've gotten marks good enough to get into both of these.
I've heard that bombay is better placement wise, but kanpur has an older program. Can anybody guide me about these 2 please? Thanks :)

I've given all allen scores, all QAFTs, ayjr, all our batch practice tests as well as 5 Allen score pyqs as 6 hour mocks. I gave qaft 10 today and for good marks in it and a great predicted rank so I'm feeling pretty confident. Should I give another mock tomorrow or stick to formula + ioc revision? Any help would be appreciated :)

I've gotten a percentile of 99.87 in mains (22XX rank) and I can get admission in all NITs with an excellent branch, yet I cannot comprehend going to any of them.
First up, all good NITs are in the south. In the warangal subreddit, there was talk about the native telugu people forming their own groups, a case shared by all NITs. Most of the seats there are reserved due to the HS quota + other quotas. In addition to that, the college infrastructure seems to be crumbling in campus tours and such. Even in Trichy ( the best NIT) black water was coming out of taps for a few days. While the placements are EXCELLENT, is that worth it for garbage infra and a bias in the intake much more skewed than IITs and IIITs? Why not go into colleges like IIIT Hyd/Bangalore/Allahabad with your mains score?
