I’m doing the throttle body on my E90 335i. Do I need to relearn adaptations after the install?

Doing the HPFP, throttle body, valve cover, and charge pipe. Once it’s all put back together and I’ve cleared the codes do I need to relearn the throttle adaptation?(fuel pump plausibility, throttle position sensor malfunction, and a boost control code can’t remember the code but it’s not the 30ff code or whatever that plagues these motors. I’ve already fixed and gotten rid of the VANOS and misfire codes.)

Is there anything else I need to do once it’s all put back together? Just looking to be as confident as possible if codes come back that I’ve performed the install correctly.

Thanks in advance!

Spotted in the wild

She’s a little dirty, but it’s always nice to see a survivor. Owner is a little crazy for leaving the window down, but it let me get a shot of the almost extinct manual gearbox!

So when I was a kid I got an Alfa poster at an auto show. Can you guys help me find it?

Not sure what flair this fits under so I did news.

The poster was of an Alfa I think going down a winding road and it had a quote about apathy and mediocrity. This would’ve been in the late ‘90s early ‘00s. I would really love to get this poster again. Sorry if I’m in the wrong place, and thanks for any help!

Got a set of Index 12’s for $100 at the junkyard today. What are my next steps?

Do I search locally for someone who can clean them? Is there a way to do it myself? I know I need an “installation kit” when I put them in, but how do I get them ready for install?

Tools needed to remove injectors?

Found a set of index 12s on FB that I’ll have to go remove myself. Just curious if I’ll need more than a ratchet, etorx sockets, and some wrenches?

Got this shirt for $15 from vehicle virals, unfortunately it came with a free hole ☹️

Shot them an email with pictures. Hopefully I get one with one less hole. I think it’s a pretty cool shirt

Can someone show me where I “threatened violence” please? The mods of r/diveinyoucoward are snowflake MAGA boot lickers

The whole thread was a bunch of insane racism calling POC monkeys, and a bunch of other insane shit, but I get banned for this comment 😂 I wish I could report the mods somehow.

N20 build questions

Alright, just buttoning up the final pieces of my build. I know a lot of people talk shit about people building N20’s, but I enjoy this car and I’m not in the financial situation to be able to afford a B58 at the moment. Here’s my question. I plan on making some 1/8th mile runs in August. I made a few passes in June and want to get a little faster. To be fair my best run was only .5 seconds slower than a 440xi running e30 (stock tune so idk how much e30 mattered) so I was pretty happy about that.

  1. Best Intercooler? I’ve got Turner charge pipes, and the FTP V3 turbo inlet but I need to upgrade my intercooler

  2. Should I run “upgraded” coil packs and 1 step colder plugs? I’m getting mixed info. Most people say unless I’m running flex fuel the colder plugs aren’t necessary.

  3. If I have BM3 do I have to pay more to flash a custom ROM to possibly run anti lag at the tree? Can anyone share a tune that might help? I’m not sure how to go about this.

  4. Flex fuel. Worth it with a stock turbo? If I run a b58 HPFP do I have to code it in? If so can I use Bimmercode or do I have to have ITSA?

I know I’ll catch hell for this post, but I enjoy running the daily down the track every once in a while. I’m building an N54 335, but it won’t be ready till next year so I’m trying to have a little fun in the meantime😂

Cheers!🍻

Recommendations for a child’s therapist

I need to get my daughter into therapy. She’s 7 years old, and I’m a little worried about some things going on in her life. Anybody have a recommendation that they’ve possibly taken their kids to and seen great results?

Spotted in the wild (At the shop next door to mine for a flat repair)

Looks like he’s got a flat wrap on it, and it looks lowered. Those wheels are sexy af too. Anyone know the style?

Finally got around to polishing this turd

I went ahead and did a little wet sanding on some of the deeper scratches, spot buffed with heavy cut and a rotory with wool pad, then I hit it with the DA, fine cut cleaner, then swirl remover, and I’ll finish up tomorrow with a soft pad and machine glaze.

I’ve owned this car for 3 years and now remember why I never took the time to polish it. The car has been wrecked on the passenger side and whoever did the body work left paint drip and a lot of orange peel on the front door and fender and I just never felt like the time it would take to correct it would be worth it. The car is 13 years old, and it’s showing its age in the paint, the front bumper is peeling as well as the drip rails on the roof, and there’s dings everywhere that just show worse with the polishing. It’s not my best work and I definitely could’ve put more time into it (put in roughly 2.5 hours) but I can appreciate the overall outcome knowing what I started with and the effort I did put in.

I mean, I don’t hate it. I just remember why I’ve put it off for so long 😂
