Finally got around to polishing this turd

I went ahead and did a little wet sanding on some of the deeper scratches, spot buffed with heavy cut and a rotory with wool pad, then I hit it with the DA, fine cut cleaner, then swirl remover, and I’ll finish up tomorrow with a soft pad and machine glaze.

I’ve owned this car for 3 years and now remember why I never took the time to polish it. The car has been wrecked on the passenger side and whoever did the body work left paint drip and a lot of orange peel on the front door and fender and I just never felt like the time it would take to correct it would be worth it. The car is 13 years old, and it’s showing its age in the paint, the front bumper is peeling as well as the drip rails on the roof, and there’s dings everywhere that just show worse with the polishing. It’s not my best work and I definitely could’ve put more time into it (put in roughly 2.5 hours) but I can appreciate the overall outcome knowing what I started with and the effort I did put in.

I mean, I don’t hate it. I just remember why I’ve put it off for so long 😂

What’s next?

Looking to continue to modify my F30 328i n26

Current Mods include: hot and cold side charge pipes (Turner)
GFB DV+ diverter valve upgrade
CTS turbo FMIC
Just replaced the timing chain, guides, tensioner, VCG, and all the other stuff that comes with doing the timing chain
BM3 stage 2 91 map + transmission tune
Drop in high flow filter
VRSF catless DP
Muffler delete with 3” exhaust from secondary cat back
Fully adjustable raceland coilovers
19” ADOHAN wheels with Hankook ventus V12 255-35 rear 225/40 front

Wondering where I go from here aside from upgraded turbo. Do I buy a JB4 to piggyback the BM3 tune? Is a turbo inlet pipe a worthwhile upgrade? Ethanol? Meth injection? Looking to squeeze a bit more power out and stay daily driver reliable. I don’t beat on the car, but I do enjoy some spirited driving sometimes. Just not quite sure what my next steps SHOULD be without replacing the turbo.

Just replaced the Alternator, belt, and tensioner. It runs for a couple minutes and then throws a charging fault warning. Brand new alternator not a reman part.

Currently pulling fuses one by one to check them. Not sure where the relay is located for the charging system

2013 328i n26

210 amp alternator. Replaced the alternator, belly tensioner, and drive belt. Car runs for a couple minutes and then I get the warning chime and a charging fault. Currently pulling fuses one by one. Any ideas? Does something need to be programmed with the new alternator?

Also a brand new unit no reman parts
