League One Top Scorer: Who takes the Golden Boot this year?
With plenty of proven League One goalscorers around this season, plus a few forwards dropping down from the Championship, who are you backing to hit 20+ goals by May?

Is it just me, or are placements starting to feel a bit like luck of the draw lately? I’m getting into the later stages of my degree and still feel like I’m missing out on certain ward-based skills because placements are so stretched. It’s honestly starting to make me anxious about whether I’ll actually feel job-ready by the time I qualify. Is anyone else feeling the same way? Would also love to hear how people are handling that stress or advocating for their own learning while on placement.
I’m currently dealing with persistent damp in my bedroom and I’m really struggling to get my landlord to take it seriously. I’ve reached out to report it, but I’m just getting nowhere and it’s starting to worry me, especially with the impact on my health and my clothes. I want to make sure I’m following the right process to get this fixed without causing unnecessary issues, so does anyone have advice on the best way to formally escalate this? I’d like to know what steps I should take next to make sure they actually fulfill their legal obligations to get this resolved.
Salmon, roasted potatoes, steamed broccoli, and chicken noodle soup, Lunch, USA, Rating: 8/10. It was served for lunch and was quite a decent meal. The salmon was cooked well, and having the warm soup on the side was very comforting. Overall, I was pleased with the quality of the food provided!
The International Music Festival kicks off this weekend, and the lineup is looking great! I’ve never been before, so I’m really excited to explore it, especially since I'm finally free to go. I'm keen to catch the jazz session at the Pump Room and will definitely have my camera with me for the vibe, is anyone else heading along? Would love to hear which shows you're most excited about!
Working on a reflective assignment at the moment and finding it surprisingly hard to balance being honest about a difficult shift while still keeping it professional and academic. I always worry I’m either being too personal and writing a diary entry, or being too formal and losing the actual reflection part completely. Does anyone have a structure or approach that helps them keep that balance properly, especially when bringing evidence into it?
I’m always stopping to take a video when I’m near Pulteney Bridge. Does anyone have a different favourite spot in the city for a walk?
Recently dug out my old Game Boy to play Tetris again, but I forgot how hard the original screen is to see in low light. I know that’s just how those old dot-matrix screens were, but does anyone know any simple tricks or mods that improve visibility without completely ruining the original hardware feel?
There seems to be a lot of pressure to go straight into a traditional Band 5 ward role, but I find myself much more interested in areas like research, community or informatics. Part of me worries that if I don’t do my time on a busy ward first, I’ll lose clinical skills or be judged for it later on. Has anyone here gone into a specialist or non-ward role early in their career, and do you regret not taking the more traditional route first? Would genuinely appreciate hearing different perspectives on this.
Captured one of my favorite corners of Bath last weekend, the architecture here really is timeless.
I’ve been reading up on Cardamine pratensis (Cuckooflower / Lady’s Smock) lately and honestly didn’t realise how fascinating it is. I love how its flowering traditionally coincides with the return of the cuckoo each spring, and it’s apparently really important for Orange Tip butterfly larvae too. Has anyone else noticed these appearing more in local grasslands recently?
With landlords now having to use Form 4A for rent increases, the government says tenants can challenge increases they believe are above market rate through a First-Tier Tribunal. My landlord has already hinted that an increase is probably coming later this year, so I was wondering how realistic the process actually is in practice. Has anyone here gone through it before? Is it a complete bureaucratic nightmare, or does it genuinely work as a useful safety net now that there are supposedly stronger protections around retaliatory evictions?
I just saw that the plans for the new Fashion Museum in Bath have officially been approved. It honestly feels like one of the biggest cultural projects the city has had in years, and on paper it sounds like it could be brilliant for tourism and the local economy. At the same time, I know some people will probably feel there are other parts of Bath’s infrastructure that should be getting priority first. What do people think, good investment for the city overall, or not really the right priority right now?
I’m currently revising anatomy and physiology and finding some of the recommended textbooks a bit heavy going at times. For those who’ve finally managed to make it click, what free websites, flashcard decks, YouTube channels, or study methods helped you the most? Would really appreciate any recommendations 😊
I did a pretty heavy scarify and applied a spring feed back in April, and while the grass has thickened up nicely in some areas, I’ve got a massive blanket of clover completely taking over the sunny side of my lawn this week. I know clover is technically good for nitrogen fixation, but it’s starting to entirely choke out the new grass seedlings I sowed. Should I hit it with a selective weedkiller like Weedol now while it's actively growing, or is it better to just hand-weed the worst patches and overseed again before the weather gets too hot in June?
Found this old photo from a much sunnier day walking through the centre. Grabbing a coffee and doing a quick loop around Queen Square and the Circus is my absolute go-to walk when I need a quick break from everything. What’s everyone’s favourite independent coffee spot around this side of town?
Saw this photo and instantly got hit with nostalgia 😭 Feel like every kid in the UK had these at some point. Half the fun was trying to work out what animal was stamped into the chocolate.
