Which XR glasses are actually the sharpest? Gaming via TAB S7+

My priorities:

  • Maximum image sharpness
  • 120 Hz (mandatory)
  • The ability to use prescription lens inserts (I have astigmatism)
  • Good edge-to-edge clarity
  • As few optical compromises as possible

My use case:

  • Gaming in bed via Tab S7+, using GeForce Now and Moonlight Streaming
  • Movies
  • Gaming while doing cardio on a recumbent bike
  • Occasionally browsing Reddit or watching YouTube

Things I don't care about:

  • Peak brightness / nits (I'll use them indoors 98% of the time)
  • Productivity or virtual multi-monitor setups

One thing that worries me is text clarity and edge sharpness.

I've read several comments saying that the VITURE Beast has a larger FOV but also noticeably blurrier edges and less sharp text near the borders.

On top of that there are just so many different models I have no clue what to look at. Older but good models are also ok I guess. I would buy used.

Thanks a lot.

Which XR glasses are actually the sharpest? (gaming, movies, browsing) Looking for real-world experiences (VITURE, XREAL, Rokid, etc.)

Hey everyone, I'm looking for XR glasses (budget(USED): around €500 including accessories) and I'd really appreciate some real-world feedback from people who have actually used them.

My priorities:

  • Maximum image sharpness
  • 120 Hz (mandatory)
  • The ability to use prescription lens inserts (I have astigmatism)

Meze 105 Aer, Silva, 109 Pro, Edition XV, Arya Stealth, Organic ?

Coming from a Edition XS, looking for a better built, more comfortable, good soundstage.
For gaming, music, movies. Nothing fancy, every genre, no analysing, no competitive.

Just using it and enjoy the content. I would use EQ if necessary or recommended. FiiO KA5 DAC/AMP available.

Why those? Because they are available for me. Organic is hitting my price limit hard. Would try to buy second hand nevertheless.

Are those 6 headphones all kinda similar, which one would you choose, which of them stands out the most? (in a positive way)

Thanks

X2HR -> Edition XS -> ... Which one next?

I used the Philips X2HR for a while, very comfy, got it new for 76€
After that I got the Edition XS, "as new" for 140€, not very comfortable without a headstrap though, don't have one yet.

In terms of sound I really like the Edition XS, the sound feels way "bigger" than with the X2HR.
The bass is not as strong as from the X2HR but still good.
Also I am using the FiiO KA5 with 4,4mm balanced cable.

I am wondering: which one should I go and stick with it next? I could get the Ananda Nano for about 210€, the Arya Stealth 420€ or Arya Organic 660€

I just want an overall "set it and forget it" headphone. I use it for all kinds of stuff. Movies, games, all kind of music... I don't need "analytical" sound, I am no audiophile and doesn't know jack sh#t.

Help decide: Keep 10 Pro or 9A

TLDR: Keep 10 Pro (256Gb) for 640€ or 9A for 200€? Minimal use, no gaming, no heavy tasks, no AI or google apps, mainly camera and day-to-day apps like bank, youtube, nothing fancy. Do I miss out big time in terms of camera if I keep the 9A?

I bought a "used" 10 Pro (256gb) with 11 cycles for 640€ and a 9A with 90 cycles for 200€. Both a great deal for sure. But I still can't decide which one I should keep and which one to sell.

My use case is very simple. No gaming, minimal youtube/netflix, casual photos, 128gb memory is enough, no AI, almost no google apps...

In terms of performance the 9A is enough, I don't recognize a difference. What I am struggling with is the camera and the longevity. I can't decide if the camera of the 9A is "enough" or better keep 10 Pro.

I am struggling for the last two weeks because I can't manage to decide it's ridiculous😂 wouldn't the price be such a high difference e.g. 9A 300€ and 10 Pro 450€ I def. would keep 10 Pro. but 400€ difference for "just" the camera?

[Advice] Pixel 10 Pro feels like overkill for my usage. Should I downgrade?

Hey everyone,

I currently own a Pixel 10 Pro (256GB) that I bought "Like New" for €640. After a few months of use, I'm starting to wonder if keeping such an expensive flagship is actually worth it for my specific daily needs.

Here is my typical usage:

  • Product Photography: I frequently take pictures of items I sell in a DIY lightbox.
  • Media & Browsing: Just regular YouTube, some social media, and web browsing.
  • Gaming: I rarely game natively on the phone. When I do, it's cloud or local streaming via GeForce Now and Moonlight.
  • Software Preferences: I barely use the Google ecosystem (except Gemini). I value privacy and minimal telemetry, so I heavily use an ADB Debloater to strip out as much background bloat as possible.

My main issue: When taking product photos in my well-lit lightbox, I noticed that the Pixel 10 Pro overprocesses the images. The colors look way too bright and unnatural compared to a test I did with a Pixel 9a. I already use the 2x zoom and disabled HDR, but it's still frustrating. Also, the natural depth of field is too narrow – I need sharp, clear pictures where the entire object is in focus, not just the center.

My question to you: Since I barely use any of the flagship "Pro" features, does it make sense to sell it and downgrade to a cheaper, used phone?

My only strict requirements for a new phone are:

  1. A camera that takes sharp, color-accurate product photos with a wide focus area.
  2. A very snappy, lag-free UI. I hate micro-stutters and need the system to react instantly.

Everything else (fancy materials, massive storage, extra lenses) doesn't really matter to me. What would you do in my situation, and which phones would you recommend looking into? Thanks!

Shield Pro plus Xbox Series S? Or waste of money.

I already have a Shield Pro, connected to a Q990B Soundbar, connected to a LG C5. When I play I plug in my Flydigi Dongle into the Shield and use VirtualHere (looking for a cheap/free alternative)
Main purpose (now) is to watch my BD Rips because of the great audio support/quality and for Artemis. Every other Apps (Netflix, Crunchy, Youtube) I use directly on the C5.

But I was thinking of buying a Xbox Series S because of even better latency and 4k 120hz support. The problem is, my PC with Ryzen 3600 and asus 3070 can't handle 4k anyways so I don't know if I "need" a Xbox Series S. The Shield is set to 1440p and 120fps instead.

Should I just stick with the Shield? Would be the Xbox only a waste of money? I don't have a gamepass.

Upgrade? Aktuell: R5 3600, 3070 Asus Tuf, 32Gb DDR4 3000Mhz CL15

Was macht hier Sinn Preis/Leistungsmäßig.

▲ 2 r/SteamOS+1 crossposts

I finally found the cause for my 2s audio dropouts every 15s. It only happens when HDMI Deep Color is enabled on my LG C5.

Setup: Legion Go S (SteamOS) + JSAUX HB0609 Dock.

When Deep Color is ON, the 15s loop starts. When OFF, audio is perfect. Since Deep Color is needed for HDR/120Hz, I’m stuck.

Is the JSAUX bridge chip failing at high bandwidth under Linux? Or is the USB4 port on the Go S sensitive to the DP-to-HDMI conversion? Has anyone managed to get 4K/120Hz stable with Deep Color ON in SteamOS?

Or can someone recommend another dock?
