Tom & Jerry rarely had their gags overstaying their welcome while Toei repeatedly drags out the jokes making them unfunny, slapstick humour is supposed to be quick and easy to stomach, not last for 40+ seconds

Oda is acc pretty consistent when it comes to the g5 gags, the moment usually lasts for maybe 2-5 panels because its in manga format which takes maybe 15 seconds to read at most

Toei keeps on butchering Odas gags lowk even tho all of it does not hit

they should not drag out the jokes even if Oda drew the funniest joke ever because then it becomes UNFUNNY
