Saw it from West Roxbury, it was big and far off and it had lights around it. looks like a UFO 🤷 was there a parade or something the past few days?
I was diagnosed about six years ago now in freshman year of high school. I love learning about the natural world and I’m never bored outside.
I was driving through New Hampshire this morning to go camping and it has been a wet and grey day. On the drive I saw some beautiful ferns and wild flowers and grasses on the median and on the side of the road. I’ve been appreciating small things much more lately and it’s easy to find joy in pretty grass.
Anyway it had me imagining standing still in the forest forever, would I get bored? What if I didn’t have a body and I could observe the smallest bugs going about their days, and follow every leaf drifting to the ground simultaneously. Experience a place so fully that I become it. Just a presence at home but invisible. I think that’s what I hope happens after we die, we just become everything. It seems nice. It seems less stressful than this.
I went to six flags New England in Connecticut and there were squashed lantern flies everywhere. I couldn’t go five mins without seeing a pancake or squishing one myself. My question is, are they somehow drawn to the open space in the park, or the heat from the pavement?? Are they just as common outside the park? I live in Boston and I’m not used to seeing soo many. I feel like the park would benefit from having some flyers up about it.
Found it on a Bull Thistle while I was watching the bees. I’m in Boston ma
Found him in the camper one morning ( in NH). He was hopping all over the bathroom until I put him outside on a tree.
Just wanted to share some of my photos, I love to hang out and watch them for a while every day.
Just wanted to dump a few of my favourite photos from my last hike. I live around Boston Ma and these were taken last week.
