Best beginner setup for food photography + YouTube + Reels ?

Hello everyone,

I'm launching a food blog, but I have no experience with food photography or videography.

My goal is to :

- take photos for recipes and social media,

-film YouTube videos (16:9),

-and create vertical Reels and Shorts (9:16).

I'm wondering what the best long-term setup would be without making things overly complicated.

Can I realistically start with just my iPhone, maybe adding a tripod and a ring light? Or is that too optimistic?

I'd love to hear what setup you use or what you would recommend for someone just getting started.

Thanks!

Best Pinterest strategy for a multilingual blog ?

Hello everyone,

I'm currently launching a food blog that will be available in English, French, and Spanish. I definitely want to build a Pinterest strategy, but I'm a bit unsure about how to handle the multilingual side of things.

Would you recommend:

-using a single Pinterest account with dedicated Pins in each of the three languages?

-or creating three separate Pinterest accounts, one for each language?

How do brands usually handle this?

To be honest, I'm still very new to Pinterest, so I'm feeling a bit lost and would really appreciate hearing how others approach it.

Thanks in advance for your advice!

Best URL structure for multilingual website

Hi guys,

I'm launching a food blog. My plan is to publish content in French for the first 1-2 months, then start adding English content, followed by Spanish.

I've chosen WordPress with the Astra theme and one of its starter templates. I also installed Polylang, but I'm a bit unsure about the site structure.

Should I have separate homepages like mysite. com / fr and mysite .com / en ?

Or would it be better to keep the main homepage at mysite . com and only use /fr and /en for recipes and blog posts?

I'd really appreciate your advice, as this is my first time building a multilingual website.

Thanks !

Complete beginner in AI tools : where should I start beyond basic prompting?

Hello everyone,

I’ve been working in digital marketing for 7 years, and I’ve been using ChatGPT and Claude mainly with basic prompts.

Recently, I’ve seen more and more people talking about things like MCP, connecting tools, Claude skills, workflows, automations, etc. I understand the general idea, but I feel a bit lost on where to start and what to learn first.

Do you have any beginner-friendly resources to recommend?

Articles, websites, YouTube channels, courses… anything that could help me understand the basics and gradually go deeper.

Or if you had to explain it simply : what would be the first things you would learn and in what order?

Thanks a lot for your help!

Is LLM Cloaking actually a thing ?

Hi everyone,

I've been hearing more and more people talk about "LLM cloaking", and I'm trying to understand what it actually is.

As far as I know, cloaking is a black-hat SEO technique that Google explicitly discourages because it involves showing different content to search engines than to users.

Now I'm seeing people mention LLM cloaking as if it's the next big thing for getting cited by ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and other AI systems.

That makes me pretty skeptical.

Is LLM cloaking actually different from traditional cloaking? If so, how? Is it considered a legitimate optimization technique, or is it just the same old practice with a new label ?

Thanks !

Another algorithm update is coming to X

X's Head of Product, Nikita Bier, announced that the platform is updating its algorithm to give more visibility to posts and replies from your mutual followers.

The goal is to make conversations less confrontational by prioritizing people you already have a connection with instead of complete strangers.

The update is also meant to encourage stronger communities around shared interests.

This is just one of many changes X has introduced over the past few months, including a new creator monetization system, a built-in video editor, and other product updates.

It feels like X has been making a lot of changes this year in an effort to become a more attractive platform, with a strong focus on content creation and meaningful interactions.

What do you think about these recent updates ?

How I structure my week between client work, writing, and actually living my life

I run a content and copywriting agency, and one thing I had to figure out the hard way is that "working remotely" doesn't automatically mean a better life if you don't structure your week on purpose.

Here's roughly what works for me these days :

  • Mornings are for deep work only, writing and strategy, no calls before early afternoon
  • Client calls and team syncs get batched into 2 days max, not spread across the whole week
  • I block at least one weekday afternoon that has nothing to do with work
  • Admin and invoicing happen on a fixed day instead of whenever I feel like procrastinating on real work

It's not perfect every week, but having a default structure means I'm not constantly re deciding how to spend my time, which honestly used to be more tiring than the work itself.

Curious how others here structure things, especially if you're also running a small business rather than freelancing solo.

Do you plan by day, by task type, or just wing it and adjust as you go ?

Looking for advice on website structure for a bilingual food blog focused on SEO

Hi everyone,

I’m planning to launch a food/cooking website and I’d love to get some advice on the best technical structure before building it.

The idea is to create a bilingual website (French + English) with a long-term content strategy :

-Recipes as the main content pillar

-Instagram as a visual/social channel

-Substack for newsletters and leads

-Pinterest for additional traffic acquisition

My main goal is not only to have a nice website, but to build a long-term SEO asset. I want something fast, technically clean, and structured to scale.

The challenge: I don’t have much experience building websites, so I want to avoid making bad technical choices from the beginning.

I’ve been researching different approaches and I’m a bit confused about the best architecture:

a) A traditional WordPress website

b) A custom HTML/CSS website

c) Or a hybrid approach (HTML homepage, while using WordPress for recipes/blog content ?)

So I have a lot of questions in my mind right now :

- What CMS/platform would you recommend for this type of project (WordPress, Webflow, custom, headless, etc.)?

- Would a homepage built in HTML with the rest of the site running on WordPress be a good idea, or unnecessary complexity?

- How would you structure a bilingual food website for SEO? (/fr/ and /en/ folders, separate domains, etc.)

- If you were starting a food website today with SEO as the main goal, what would you do differently ?

I’m not looking for a quick theme/plugin recommendation, but advice from people who have built content websites and grown organic traffic.

Thanks !
