Is social media actually bringing customers?

A lot of businesses celebrate when a post gets thousands of views or likes

But then you ask how many actual customers came from it and suddenly nobody has an answer

I've started thinking that reach is only useful if it eventually leads somewhere

For marketers running social media for a business what do you actually use to judge whether it's working?

I think vibe coding is starting to hurt branding and marketing

I'm not against vibe coding at all. I actually think it's amazing that people who aren't developers can now build websites and products much faster

But from a marketing perspective I keep noticing the same problem

A lot of websites being built with AI are starting to look very similar. The layouts feel familiar, the copy has a similar tone and sometimes you can even notice the AI tool's own style influencing the final product

That might not matter much for an internal tool or a quick prototype

But when it's a customer facing business, branding matters

Your website is often one of the first places people interact with your brand. If it looks like every other AI generated site, how do you build a memorable identity?

AI can definitely speed up development, but I don't think businesses should completely hand over creative and brand decisions to it

Maybe the real hack is using AI for speed while keeping humans responsible for the brand

Curious what others think

is vibe coding making it easier to build products but harder to stand out?

Is being on TikTok actually necessary for good marketing anymore?

TikTok reels and short videos are everywhere in marketing now but does being active on every trending platform actually help a business grow or are marketers just chasing attention?

curious if short form content has genuinely worked for your marketing or if a solid overall strategy matters more
