So I picked up a dead bat a few hours ago. On it, I saw a tiny spider crawling around. Later on, I noticed a tiny red mark on my thumb. Now idk if that's the spider that bit me or I accidentally touched one of the bat's claws and didn't notice. Either way, should I be concerned here? I have read the FAQ.
Islamabad pakistan. Its dead btw.
You're all invited for soup at my place
Okay so mind you, I'm not happy about this at all. This poor lizard was just simply existing and minding its own business and my cat (who's well fed btw) found it somewhere and then most definitely mauled it to death. I'm posting this in hopes that somebody might know what kinda lizard this might be. It's definitely not any regular old house gecko given the length of the tail which is like 8-9 inches long.
Location: Islamabad
I also saw this big beetle looking thing that scared my cats away cause it kept making these weird sounds. (Last pic) never heard anything like it
So im somebody who shampoos daily cause my scalp gets really oily really fast. Plus, my scalp tends to get flaky if i dont wash it regularly. The flakiness i believe is stress related. Now almost all the advice online says daily washing is a nightmare for long hair and causes massive dryness and breakage so I'm just wondering if there are others like me here who got long hair and tend to suffer from similar scalp issues. Also, all the posts I've seen here of people with beautiful long hair tend to wash it once a week or once every 2 weeks which makes me wonder if it's even possible to have beautiful long hair if you're gonna be washing it daily.
The opening is 1 ft by 1ft and extends down to may be 20 ft. The video you're seeing was made with my phone that I had tied to a rope. Neighbor wants me to send the mother cat down there but I believe that's a bad idea. Any suggestions?
Update: tried lowering down a small basket to the bottom. Didn't work. Pulled it up, put some cat food in it and then lowered it back down again and waited. Also didn't work. Called plumper. Said its too small to climb down. The only way is to break the walls to make more room but that would be too dangerous as the entire structure could collapse ontop of the kitten. Still waiting on the fire department.
Update 2: so the fire fighters finally arrived. They tried for well over an hour before finally giving up. Again, they said the same thing. That the opening is too narrow and that breaking it loose could cause the whole thing to collapse. They were talking about some sort of special device with a claw and camera on the end that they can lower down and operate manually but unfortunately they don't have that and having it arranged might take a couple of days so things are looking really bad right now. The problem with the kitten is that if you pause the video to where you can see it, it's facing away from the pit and wouldn't turn around. Last option is to try to lower the basket again but this time, also lower the phone using a separate rope playing the mom's recording. Hopefully hearing her sound up close might bring it out of that gap and onto the basket. Everyone has given up right now so it's just me and my brother.
My Maltese won't stop biting and scratching herself, and she is in so much distress. I honestly don't know what to do anymore. Here is what we have tried so far:

Vet Visits: We have been to the vet so many times, but they are just as clueless as I am.

Tests: They did a skin sample/scrape and said they couldn't find anything.

What works: The only thing that temporarily fixes this are steroid shots, but the relief doesn't last.

This has been going on for months now. Her entire body is covered In those red spots. I live in a developing country, so the veterinary resources here might not be the most advanced. I've heard that skin problems are very common in the Maltese breed, so I am hoping someone, especially owners or vets from Europe or the US who have run into a similar problem, can give me some guidance on what to look for or what to ask my vet for next. Please help!
I hear about the consequences but no definitive plan on how to eradicate them completely from the face of the earth. Is that something that's even possible?
