So I was trying to browse the earn and learn program (debating on maybe going back to school and getting another degree or just certification idk) and tried to login and I got this screen. How am I ineligible? I thought it was offered to all part-time non-management positions? Any guidance would be helpful.

Other than this article and one from OCWeekly, I never heard anything else afterwards. I don’t know what made me think of it all the sudden, but I worked at the Macaroni Grill that is near the St Moritz apartments where the woman, Brigette, was discovered, and a co-worker was her neighbor. She had mentioned how the couple would get in loud arguments and physical altercations, and mentioned how days before the discovery of his body in his vehicle, she saw him in her garage, taking something (that she didn’t know what it was) and abruptly exiting the garage, but didn’t think much of it and being that he made her uneasy she didn’t say anything about it and went about her business. That night, however, she said the two had one of their worst fights ever, with crazy screaming and noises that seemed more intense than prior altercations they had ever heard, then it was suddenly quiet. When she found out about the boyfriend, then saw law enforcement at the neighbors house and found out about the girlfriend being found, she realized she had basically heard her being murdered. What stuck with me other than that aspect, was that when the family had to come to move out the belongings inside the apartment, was that the scene wasn’t cleaned up at all before family went inside, and she said you could smell the scent of blood through the walls. That chills me to the bones, and also made me super upset because no family should have to see the aftermath of where their family member was murdered, let alone all the blood stains all over the walls and soaked in the carpet.
I was driving today down Harvard about to make a left turn onto ICD when this stupid reckless teenager decides to cross the intersection ON A RED LIGHT without looking. This shit is getting ridiculous and is completely unacceptable. PARENTS TEACH YOUR CHILDREN IT IS THEIR RESPONSIBILITY TO FOLLOW TRAFFIC LAWS JUST LIKE VEHICLE DRIVERS.
If this is your child, SHE WAS REPORTED TO IPD. Thank God I braked and swerved to avoid hitting her. Let this be a reminder that accidents are avoidable IF YOUR KIDS ABIDE BY THE LAW.
…create chaos for the entire neighborhood because they are aggressive and escape so you can’t walk your own dog around the block, OR safely get to your vehicle sometimes. Animal control has been called dozens of times, and we have spoken to the owners, and nothing changes. This my neighbors camera footage of the dogs (look at the white truck in the upper left to see how many run out from behind it), coming up to my neighbor. His 5 year old son is still in the car, but he went inside to get his pepper spray bc he saw them in my yard, which is what you see.
So I have known this chick since 2022. We met at work and became close work friends and outside of work friends and have vented about our relationships at the time (she was then married, I was in an up and down relationship of 4+ years), and whenever she felt things were going wrong or she needed attention, there was always a dramatic instance (especially if anyone else around her was going through a family tragedy or serious health issue related family wise) that she would undergo, that never yielded any result. Almost like an attention grabber for no reason.
Fast forward to now, she isn’t divorced but has been dating another man (also married) for about 2 years, and before she started dating this new man, she and her still current husband were not getting along, and she underwent a bunch of studies because she felt something was wrong with her heart and brain, I believe. They tested both, and nothing was an issue, she was fine on every test, sleep study, you name it. One psychologist, did say, maybe you are perceiving a problem health wise because things aren’t working in your marriage, or that you feel your marriage is ended (IDK I was not there for the word usage or conversation but that was the gist).
So she automatically starts dating this new married guy and has had him controlled from day one because she is doing everything opposite of what she did when she was married: being sexual in different ways, being outgoing, going out of her comfort zone, etc. Now, two years later, he has found out she has lied about quite a few things and is beginning to be over it, so she sends him planned parenthood screenshots, without the results. He has had a vasectomy, so pregnancy would be bc she was doing something or someone on the side, STD is their own thing, but dramatizing it and not showing him the results seems a bit extreme bc of the previous instances where it took her forever to divulge nothing was wrong.
So essentially, other than a need for attention, it is difficult for me to even be her friend because she isn’t forthcoming about a lot of things, then makes up things to save face in a way afterwards. I don’t want this type of person in my life and what they do is their own business, but at the same time if something is ACTUALLY and TRULY wrong with her, I don’t want to be a dick and not be there for her. 🤷🏻♀️
