Brákarsundsbrú

The Brákarsund Bridge in Borgarnes, Iceland. It spans the narrow sound of Brákarsund, connecting the old part of town on the mainland to the island of Brákarey. The dark, steep peak looming behind it across the fjord is Hafnarfjall.

Upgrading to business class

We bid for an upgrade and were informed when checking in that we didn’t get it. When we boarded the plane there were three empty businesses class seats. The flight attendants said they were not booked. When we bid we picked the “good” bid. Does Iceland Air pass over bids for reasons other than being outbid by another customer?

Amtrak Niagara Falls Station

This station also has the Niagara Falls Underground Railroad Heritage Center connected to it with some public exhibits in the main hall. The station was quite busy when I was there with a long line of people waiting to board the next train, I think to Buffalo but maybe to Canada.
