Before hiring an SEO agency, check these 7 things

A lot of small businesses approach SEO by asking, “How do I rank #1?”

I think the better question is: “Where am I currently losing potential customers?”

Before paying for SEO, I’d check:

Are your important service/product pages actually indexed?

Are pages getting impressions but very few clicks?

Are you targeting keywords with real buying intent?

Does your Google Business Profile accurately represent the business?

Are important services easy to find from the homepage?

Are multiple pages competing for the same search intent?

Can you connect organic traffic to actual enquiries/sales?

One thing I've noticed repeatedly: businesses often publish more content when they actually need to improve existing pages first.

If you're working on SEO yourself, what's the biggest issue you're struggling with right now?

Share the problem rather than your website if you prefer—I’m happy to explain what I’d look at first.

Would you trust an agency that promises “Guaranteed #1 Rankings”?

I still see agencies advertising:

"Guaranteed #1 on Google in 30 days."

Personally, I don't think anyone can honestly guarantee rankings because Google doesn't work that way.

You can improve technical SEO.
You can publish better content.
You can build authority.
You can improve CTR.
But guaranteeing #1 rankings feels misleading.

What's your opinion?

Have you ever hired an SEO agency that actually delivered what they promised?

I audited 50 small business websites. Nearly all had the same SEO mistakes

Over the last few months, I've been reviewing websites across different industries, and one pattern kept showing up.

Most owners assume their rankings are limited by competition.

In many cases, the real issues are much simpler:

Important pages aren't being indexed.
Internal links are weak or inconsistent.
Service pages target the same keywords.
Titles and meta descriptions don't match search intent.
Technical issues go unnoticed for months.

None of these are dramatic problems individually, but together they can significantly reduce organic visibility.

If you've done an SEO audit recently, what was the most surprising issue you found?

I'd be interested to hear what others are seeing.

The Trinity of Indian Cricket. If you could only pick ONE of these traits for a clutch match-Virat’s Class, Rohit’s Dominance, or Dhoni’s Calm-which one are you choosing?

A gentle reminder to the 'experts' who claimed Virat Kohli was the problem and would never win silverware for his franchise.

17 years of loyalty, heartbreak, and carrying a franchise on his back. This picture of Virat Kohli is pure cinema.

Miss this version of Virat Kohli? Modern cricket has become too soft and polite.

I miss the Virat who would give a 100-word send-off to a batsman and bully the opposition just with his eyes. This new 'gentleman' Kohli is great, but that aggressive monster hit different.

Who agrees?
