Welding class out of Metal

I started college a few weeks ago for auto, but I have a welding class as part of it, it's been pretty good so far, the teacher is good

The only problem is they ran out of new metal to practice on after the first week, now we just have a pile of rusty, welded, scrap metal to pick through

They have a plasma cutter, a torch, and 1 grinder, for about 12 people to use, so it takes awhile to actually get any metal to weld

Gotta find something that's half decent, cut it, and then grind enough down to get some clean metal

The first week was great, most of the time I could practice welding, now it's kinda slow

The school is dragging their feet on getting new metal, especially since this is the only welding class I'll have, it'd be nice to actually get some good practice, pretty frustrating😞

Mechanic now doing doordash?

I don't work at a shop or anything, just school for now, and part time at a Subway

3 minutes before close this guy comes in to pickup a doordash order, we get to talking a little and I tell him that I'm going to college for Auto and he says he was a mechanic for 14 years

He owned his own garage and everything, didn't dig in to much why, but he's doing doordash and whatever else now, said he's still paying off his 20k Snap-on box that he has at home

He just told me good luck and to buy quality not brand, said f Snap-on and left

Still Cheaper then 1 Snap On tool☠️

Regulars Order

I get this guy a couple time a week, he orders a footlong herb and cheese with pepper jack and rotisserie chicken then gets

Hot honey

Chipotle

Buffalo

Creamy Sriracha

Mayo

Garlic Aioli

Ranch

Lettuce

Tomato

Spinach

Pepper

Onion (extra)

Cucumbers

The best part is when I go to close it and the sauce starts flowing out as I'm wrapping it up

It must taste good or something🤷‍♂️

Got me a Gen 1 T14

I just got this T14 gen 1, condition was very good, a small crack in the plastic corner and some scuff marks on the lid, I just need it for college and light usage, Total was $311 after tax

Is there anything I should do before I start using it?

New Bread pans🫠

We switched to the black metal ones, a few came out clean, some needed a little finesse, and the others were a nightmare, stuck a ton, needed to manhandle them to get it out, not too many casualties, but still annoying

3/8 Split Beam Price?

This used to be $100, now it's priced the same as the 1/2 one? The 30% off for PLS is pretty much worthless

Any idea what the next weekend deal will be?

I'd guess a higher value free item, last one was icon adapters in early May

If any all knowing employees can say🔎

5 Limit

I got 9 items (3 under $20 and 6 under $10) the employee told me it would work with all the items, and even confirmed after they rang them out that the coupon applied to all my items

I was in a little rush, guess I should've checked my receipt (rookie mistake) it only applied to 5 items, it's only a $4 difference, but I sent a customer support ticket, probably won't amount to anything

Definitely my fault, I'll check my receipt next time😶
