Is a lash lift a good option for me?

I want to get a lash lift and keep seeing mixed opinions. I usually put on mascara and then heat my lash curler and curl (I know that’s probably not good for them) and wonder if my lashes would be really weak. I don’t want them to fall out so would just a tint be safer? Are lash lifts really that damaging or does it depend on where you get them done?

How do you find an inexpensive foreign exchange program in Highschool?

As the title suggests I am looking for a foreign exchange program for my daughter in Highschool. All of them seem to cost a ton of money for no reason and the IYE one I was looking at has almost no profiles. This one utilizes a system where you can browse profiles of students looking for an exchange and reach out. However, I have been unable to find a similar one. If you’ve ever been on an exchange how did you find the host and what would you suggest? We are from Canada.

Do you think people often reject the shows complexity?

The more I see discussions and edits about the show I feel like a lot of people choose not to fully grasp the complexity of the show. Don’t get me wrong anyone is allowed to watch a show and not think super deeply about it, that’s not my issue. I just find a lot of people can be super confrontational in regards to analyzing characters and their relationships, pitting characters and ships against eachother. This is where I get upset because it feels like a lot of people don’t acknowledge that all the characters are intentionally flawed, their relationships are too. They all take their turns playing the villain and the people who write the show made it that way to demonstrate the complexity of trauma, grief, and seeking connection. Obviously we know the show isn’t entirely realistic but the way they try to demonstrate human nature and have you question your own morals is unsettling and that’s how you know they did a good job. If you look at interviews almost every single small detail is well thought out and enhances the overall story and emotional complexity, something I really admire in the midst of an era of mindless tv shows. While I love the queer representation, relationships, and the characters on the show I just feel like a lot of people water it down to just that for the sake of arguing. Listen maybe it’s just a Reddit and TikTok thing but I just feel like a lot of discussion about the show is somewhat one dimensional and argumentative when in reality many different things can be true at once. Thoughts?

Why do people hate Travnat?

I recently started watching the show and watching edits on TikTok and I see a lot of Travnat hate. I’m trying to understand why so many people hate this ship keeping in mind I haven’t watched the whole series yet. It’s not like I don’t see the chemistry between Nat and Lottie or Nat and Misty but it feels like people hate Nat and Travis for no reason. While I see some people argue that their whole relationship was formed solely out of trauma I just don’t agree. It also feels like a lot of people just hate the ship because they feel that Nat looks “ queer “ whatever that means. I don’t mind spoilers so feel free to explain however.

Sol de Janeiro sundays in rio

Sundays in rio has been my favourite scent in a while although I always found it didn’t last long. I really love amber and vanilla notes and don’t mind scents with some spice to it. I bought seven virtues amber vanilla once I ran out of Sundays in rio however neither has ever been long lasting. Does anyone know how to make the scent either last longer or project more or which perfumes would be a stronger alternative?

Are girls who play sports actually attractive to guys?

Obviously I know from a girls perspective men who play sports are very romanticized but does it go the other way? I’m in a mixed rec soccer league and I’m pretty good but I definitely don’t feel attractive when I play. Like theres a guy there I’m interested in but I just feel so gross cause my face is always so red and I’m obviously sweaty. But other than that I’m one of the better players on my team which is empowering but it doesn’t feel like something guys would find attractive. What I’m asking is if guys find sports attractive and if they find the flushed and sweaty look gross? Are girls more attractive if they are good at the sport?

Do you worry about death?

I was raised atheist however for a long time I would pray to god and go to church because as a child I just assumed that’s what everyone did. This promise of heaven was thrown around so often that I didn’t even know that not everyone believed in jt. I don’t remember when I decided to question it but honestly I thought the idea of nothing happening after death would be more daunting but I honestly don’t fear it. My only fear is not doing everything I want to do before it’s my time. I’ve never understood why people want to live forever. I don’t think I could ever truly be at peace if it just kept on and on. Does anyone feel similarly? I don’t know I feel like when I talk to religious people they make it sound like I should be scared.

Are sports an excuse

Im in Highschool and gym classes are mixed gender. When I was a freshman we were playing soccer one day and I was shielding the ball when a boy in my class began fully rubbing up against me from behind me. I play soccer and I know that this is not necessary and it went on for a few seconds. Now this was a while ago but I remember being uncomfortable especially because I believe at some point he was romantically interested in me. Now while in my mind this event was not super significant I only ask because he has been accused of sexual assault on a few occasions, but nobody will seem to share the details with me so I cannot confirm or deny. I strongly believe my friend who claims he psychically abused her though.I feel torn between what to believe because I cannot tell if my experience was warranted but I also want to advocate for individuals who could’ve been victims of similar or worse things at the hands of this guy.
