Does anyone like ezyvet in specialty?

About to move to a practice that is this software. I’m a specialist. I’ve only heard bad things from other specialists about how difficult it is to use this software for specialty medicine. Anyone out there like it or have found ways to use it efficiently for Internal Medicine?

Individual professionalism training

Hello! I’m looking for CE, resources, or individual coaching for professionalism / “soft skills” for veterinary medicine. It’s something I’ve always struggled with personally and I want to be better for myself and my coworkers. Topics such as avoiding gossip, positive attitude, communication, etc. Has anyone personally used any of the resources out there? Thank you

Rate for pool guest passes

Hi all, I searched up and down on the CA website but can’t find the answer to my question. For family play members, how much does it cost to purchase a pack of guest passes? The only rate I could find online was the senior passes. Thank you.

Clipping/ Audio Distortion?

Hi! We have a brand new (3 weeks) Toniebox 2. I’ve now started to notice some clipping/ audio distortion. We don’t have many tonies but we notice it on the Tigger and Piglet tonies for now. Is this an issue in which we should replace the box, or is it an issue with the audio recording? Thank you

Struggling to give up my Petrof Model III

**Edited to add more details

Hi all. I’m brand new to this sub but I’m truly struggling with what to do with my Petrof Model III. Let me know if this isn’t the right place for this rant.

TLDR: emotionally attached to my Petrof but I don’t have room for it

Long Story:
My parents bought our 1996/1997 Model III around 2005. My grandfather, a professional pianist (and my hero) who has since passed, helped them pick it out from a showroom. This is the piano I grew up with. I took lessons from a young age but was never very good. However, I used the piano quite a bit for singing and learning music. We would gather around the piano as a family to play and sing together. I even recorded my college audition tapes in our music room with this piano because the acoustics were so good. The piano has a warm beautiful sound and I think it has the most beautiful sound of any piano I’ve heard.

My grandfather died several years ago. My mother couldn’t give up his Steinway, and couldn’t keep both pianos, so she offered to sell the piano to me. I bought it for fair market value based on the appraisal. However, I was in a medical residency in a different state at the time with no room for a piano, so she moved the piano to her basement and kept it watered and tuned for two years while I finished my training.

My husband and I moved back to our home state into a different home that was far too small for the piano but we were determined to make it work. We ended up building an entirely new deck in order to get the piano into the house. It took up half the living room. My husband wanted to sell it to reclaim the space but knew how important it was to me so dropped the issue.

I had my first baby a few years later and desperately needed the space, so we put the piano into storage for a year until we could get a bigger house.

We needed to move to a bigger house once we were expecting our second child. We literally eliminated any house that was unable to fit the piano. We finally settled on a house at the top of our budget that we thought would work with the piano. We moved the piano back in.

My first baby is now a toddler and has started to play the piano and sing at the same time. I’ve always dreamed about my kids playing it one day. My husband also decided to sit down at the piano one day and surprisingly, had natural talent and can just improvise! He loves playing now but with two kids there’s almost no time. Currently I only play piano when practicing music for a choir I’m in. I’m not good at piano.

About 25% of our current living room is taken up by the piano and I am feeling cramped again and needing more space. My husband wants me to sell it so we can reclaim the space. I want to do a massive remodel one day with an addition. But we’re probably 5-10 years from that. There’s no where else in the house that would currently work.

I’m so sad that I may have to give up this piano, but I can’t keep feeling cramped in my own home. If you were in the same shoes, would you sell the piano to get an upright, or hold out for the larger home/remodel?

Reseller pricing…makes no sense?

Hi all,

I’m brand new to Tonies so I’m sorry if this is an ignorant question. I’ve been looking at sites like Mercari and eBay to see if I can find some used or at a slight discount. But so many of the sellers are listing Tonies for a price that, combined with shipping, is GREATER than if I just bought them new on Amazon or from the tonies website. I resell for a few hobbies on the side and the general rule I follow is that the cost of the listing + shipping has to be less than it would cost to buy it new from an official seller.

What gives?

Post op septorhinoplasty - does nasal valve stenosis get better with time?

Hi all. I’m looking for some advice/encouragement here.

I had a “z-shaped” nasal septum resulting in near-complete nasal obstruction of both sides, as well as nasal bridge deviation, and nasal valve stenosis. I had a closed septoplasty two years ago in which the surgeon “debulked” the right sided obstruction but said he couldn’t do anything more. This improved the right side dramatically but left me with a perforation from the surgery and worsened crookedness of the nose (from less cartilage support), as well as persistent left sided obstruction. I recently consulted with a different surgeon and underwent an open septorhinoplasty two weeks ago. The surgery ended up being TEN HOURS due to severity and complexity and required an overnight stay. He harvested cartilage from three ribs, bone from behind my ear, straightened the septum, applied a PDS plate to the septum, spreader grafts, caudal septal extension graft, osteotomies to correct the denatured bony pyramid, reduced the dorsal hump, and did a 2 mm tip deprojection.

The cast and splints were on for 10 days. When they came off (removed by a nurse practitioner), I could immediately breathe better, and feel unobstructed on the right, but the left side still feels a little obstructed which resolves with the Cottle maneuver. This makes me worried I still have nasal valve stenosis. Additionally, I’m worried that my nasal pyramid is not completely straight, and some bones may have shifted during healing. I know that some swelling is normal after surgery but I’m worried it’s the bones that are not straight.

The surgeon already called me and he’s going to reassess in person next week. I’m taping until then.

The recovery was absolutely brutal, especially as I was breastfeeding every four hours as well. Not something I want to go through again. But part of me really wants to have unobstructed breathing (and a straight nose!)

Questions:
—Has anyone seen their bony pyramid straighten once swelling does down?
—Has anyone had improvement with their nasal valve stenosis over time after surgery?

Happy Mother’s Day to me!

I’m so excited about my citrus juicer! I’ve been stalking eBay for months and didn’t like any of the colors. One popped up in Caribbean (!!!) and of course I had to have my husband buy it for me for Mother’s Day!

▲ 4 r/IRS

Hi all. This is mostly a rant. Mostly to see if anyone can sympathize or think that MAYBE, one day, this tax issue will get resolved. I’ve made 10+ calls to the IRS at this point and each time only seems to make the situation worse.

Some background: I make quarterly estimates tax payments through my payroll company for household employer taxes (this is automated through the payroll company). I also make manual quarterly estimates tax payments to account for a side gig.

On Jan 1, 2026, I made an estimated tax payment meant for the final quarter of 2025. I accidentally selected the incorrect dropdown option for year, selecting 2024 instead of 2025. There was no way for me to fix this online. I immediately called the next business day to try to move the payment to the correct year (2024). I was told that the payment had not processed yet, and to keep calling back.

I accept that the error was completely my fault, a slip of the hand.

I called every 2 weeks, each time being told the payment had not been processed yet. Finally, in early March 2026, the agent confirmed that the payment had processed and they moved the payment from 2025 to 2024.

Two weeks later, I received a refund check for that exact amount in the mail. I looked at my tax transcript for 2024 and discovered that immediately prior to reassigning the payment to 2024, they had disbursed an erroneous refund of that exact amount. So now I owed that amount back to my account.

I called and was told to follow the process for erroneous refunds. I filled out the form and mailed back the check as instructed. I wrote a letter explaining the circumstances around the erroneous refund and a request to apply the amount to the 2024 tax year.

It had been 8 weeks with no update, so I called again and asked if they had received the return check, as my 2024 account was still showing a negative balance. They said yes, I see the check, but it was applied to year 2026. I asked why I didn’t see that on my 2026 transcript. They said it can take two weeks to update. So they said they would remove the amount from 2026 and apply it to 2024. Fine.

I’ve been logging in every day to check for this amount to be posted. Finally, today, I see in my 2026 account that THE AGENT REMOVED MY FIRST HOUSEHOLD EMPLOYER 2026 ESTIMATED TAX PAYMENT FROM MY ACCOUNT. It’s just gone — “removed from account” - not transferred to the 2024 or 2025 tax year.

Now I have to call back, AGAIN, to see if I can restore my 2026 estimated tax payment for my household employer taxes, and hope that the situation doesn’t get screwed up even more.

Is there any hope?
