Beautiful 3 nights in Idyllwild

This was our first time in Idyllwild, and it’s our new favorite local spot. Living in San Diego we’ve been going to Mt. Laguna a lot because it’s so close, but this was definitely worth an additional hour drive! Stone creek campground also had hookups so we could use our AC for once. Next trip is 9 days in late August split between Mammoth, Sequoia and Yosemite.

6 minutes on Reta

The before pics are from 2020 and the after from this week. I had lost about 12lbs without Glp + an additional 8 with. I started on Tirzep which worked well for appetite suppression and food noise, I got up to 7.5mg and lost an additional 8lbs with it. I switched to Reta less than a year ago. There seemed to be less appetite suppression but increased metabolism. It seems easier to stay lean and keep muscle mass on a low dose (2-4mg). I get a weird nerve sensation side effect when I go over 4, so that’s my limit. I’m 47yo 5’5, 180lbs 12.5% bf, and have been maintaining this for over 6 months. I also do a low dose TRT and a few other peptides.

Torres Del Paine

I got to visit Patagonia last April, the views were incredible. This piece was fun, but I didn’t love some of the colors it came with, so I’m improvised. Pretty happy with the outcome.

30 Vs 40 Vs 47

I was a competitive athlete through my mid 20’s. At 40 I needed a lumbar fusion + carpel tunnel and trigger finger releases both hands. Those procedures have been life changing.

I’ve been on TRT since mid 30’s, and been taking a handful of peptides for a couple years now. Current split 3 x strength training, 1 day HIIT and one day hike or bike. I’m 47 in two weeks and the goal is to be my absolute most fit at 50.

Fit to fat to fit

29yo - 43yo - 47yo
I was a competitive athlete in my 20’s. A slew of injuries and life ups and downs lead to weight gain and all the things that come with it.

I lift 3x a week, generally cycling 3-4 compound movements w/ high weight, high sets, and low to mid rep range. I do one HIIT workout a week that kicks my ass every time. Weekends I hike 5+ miles.

I’m on a low dose trt and 2mg Reta, plus a number of other peptides including Bpc/tb4, mots-c and NAD. (TRT helps a lot but I was also on TRT in the fat photo). I take a shit ton of supplements - EAA’s, creatine and HMB to name a few.

Thanks to modern medicine, modern science and smart training I’m able to regain a level of fitness I thought I’d never see again.

Bullet proofing my e91 *updated*

2007 e91 automatic w/ sport package. 181k miles and I want to keep her going another 100k I bought it at 125k. Previous owners took great care of her. They had done all necessary work and maintenance, plus upgraded suspension.

-right away replaced oil pan gasket and oil filter housing plus motor mounts. This had been done previously but was leaking and still under shop warranty. They essentially did it for free.

-A year later replaced the radiator, hoses and overflow part of the cooling system.

-last year replaced the valve cover gaskets, and upgraded cover w aluminum

-i just recently needed a new cooling pump so replaced the pump and thermostat w/ Pierburg.

-I was also having electrical problems and pump codes so i essentially refurbished the entire BSD line replacing the: oil sensor, IBS and negative battery terminal, and alternator

-January I got new tires and replaced rear suspension w bilstein again, also did alignment

-for fun I did a three stage manifold swap w/ a chaos calibrations tune last year. Pulls noticeably harder mid to high range now.

Update *
- I just had a Sonnax zip kit installed, also an upgraded metal transmission valve. Inspected and cleaned the solenoids while in there. We replaced the sealing sleeve and did a trans fluid/filter and gasket. The annoying 2nd to 3rd jump is virtually gone!

- I replaced the cheap disa valves (yes I stupidly got cheap ones originally) with the lifetime disa set, swapped out new manifold gaskets, upgraded to the aluminum Mickey Mouse flange, replaced the drive belt and tensioner, and covered it with a crank seal guard.

I’m sure there’s other stuff I forgot to mention but that’s the latest. I need to fix the paint on the roof, hood and bumper, but putting that off for now.

There’s something about this car, i love the looks and I just love to drive it!

My friends fathers gun

hadn’t seen this model before, colt 1892. Friends father was career military, but this was the only gun he had when he passed. Mechanically in good shape, with a very heavy trigger and hammer. Cool memorabilia, I probably wouldn’t take it to the range.

Just received both S&W as gifts recently, and picked them up from 10 day hold Monday. I’ve had Ruger sp101 for years. Going to the desert to shoot them in a couple weeks. Seems like shooting primarily 38 specials out of the .357 is the smart move, but I’ll have to pop off a couple .357 rounds for good measure!
