TOH update
I did hack and squirt a month ago. One of the trees looks pretty yellow, other 2 are showing signs. Should i do another round of hack and squirt or do i have to wait until next year? Thanks

Car dealership on other side of the fence cut down some young tree of heaven in the spring. I didn’t want the root system coming near my house so decided to help out and spray them a few weeks ago. Pics aren’t the best but id say i got about 95 percent of them, they are fried. Just followed up with another application today. Cheers
Wanted to post some progress on killing tree of heaven. I did foliar spray and basal bark on the smaller trees, and hack and squirt on the 3 big ones. The small ones appear to be dying pretty quickly (sprayed on Sunday). The big ones don’t look too bothered but hoping with time and maybe a few more doses of triclopyr they will eventually die. Let me know if anyone has advice, i tried my best to avoid the hostas, goldenrod and grapevine thats mixed with the toh, bittersweet will be next. I used 41 percent glysophate for foliar spray, triclopyr esther with basal oil (1 part tric 3 parts oil) for basal bark method. Hack and squirt i used the triclopyr esther on sunday and the other day sprayed more in with the basal oil.
Plant app says swamp milkweed, was assuming it was something bad since its growing through asphalt
Before and after of 2 years. Did not know there was tree of heaven and bittersweet everywhere (or what it even was). Its mostly off my property now but will be dealing with more of it in the coming weeks, cheers
Pretty sure it is, plant app said false virginia creeper which i think is wrong
I know i bought these at the worst possible time with a heatwave coming. The guy at the nursery said instead of deep watering for 20 minutes to just have a slow drip which is what ive been doing for the past few days, but the internet says not to do that or they might get overwatered. Am i overwatering? Underwatering? Is this just typical behavior after 3 days? Will they bounce back? If they are done for the year what can i do to make sure they are nice next year, thank you. Upstate NY zone 6a
It slowly takes over in patches now during late June. It’s lighter in color and I hate it. How to eradicate. I have fusillade 2, tenacity, and quintessential. Can any of these help? It happens a lot around edges and wetter areas. Thanks
There is a sea of invasives flowing from the property behind mine, most notably tree of heaven and bittersweet/ bindweed, but someone commented that they think there is japanese knotweed in here? I hope thats not the case, been here 2 years and haven’t seen anything spread to my lawn that looks like knotweed. Let me know what else you see in here, i see some grape vine and sumac trying to survive in this mess
Thought these 2 were really cute yesterday evening and wanted to share
I thought id be able to tackle this horrible tree in/ around my property, but the more i look around, the more i see it. 4 very mature trees around the neighborhood. I don’t think i can win this fight. 2nd pic is my backyard with them just off my property
I keep seeing that i can attack tree of heaven between July 1st and October. I want to kill this thing as soon as possible, is July 1st definitely safe to do the hack and squirt method? Or should I wait until middle of July when it’s definitely bringing its energy down to the roots? Thank you
