Bonjour a tous
Merci !
Hi everyone,
I have some strange issue happening to me : for the first time, i decided to use the magnification tool in a recording, as there was some background noise etc.
I changed it during the recording (with the little magnification + on the zoom F3). But when I open my wav, everything is peaking (the image above is already -18db!) !
And more, we can clearly hear the level change in middle of record, when i pressed the button.
What's happening here ?
I read on the manual before that the magnification wont change anything on my recording (which is a 32 bit, thank god) and just double check in the manual before askin. Am I doing something wrong?
Thanks !
Hi folks
I have a brand new hp omen 45L, and just squeeze an additional M2 in there (Crucial T710 SSD 4To PCIe 5.0 x4 Gen5 NVMe M.2 avec Dissipateur, Lecture jusqu'à 14500 Mo/s, écriture jusqu'à 13800 Mo/s).
And a 7200 HDD from WD.
Problem : when copying from external HDD, I get around 120 Mo/s to ssd (and depending on port and using usb c port...) and around 170 Mo/s to the HDD, which is "supposed" to be slower than a top notch ssd...
What's the issue here ? Is there something I dont understand ?
(I did the test with the same directory, containing the same type of large video files to be equal)
Thanks !
Hi folks,
I just bought my very first omen (45L, 270k), and something is driving me nuts, or at least two things :
-on windows, my external ssd (and ssd only i think), connected throught super fast usb c ramdomly pop up as if it was in a state of sleep and suddenly decide to wake up. With of course the windows sound of a usb connected, and the folder opening up in middle of nowhere (I can also here something happening inside the pc tower, like fans and something waking up). My only solution is to eject it and reconnect it any time i want to use it, which is a pain.
I already managed the power mgmt of usb inside the windows config. Maybe Omen is overwriting it somehow with its own ? Do you have any tips and tricks ?
-second : I have an external HDD also, on usb A. I went to the bios to change the boot, and disconnected the boot via usb, bc it was creating a big bootloop and my computer refused to start. Problem : its still bootlooping when this is connected, even if I have an "!" in the boot order...
Any idea ?
Thanks !
Hi there,
I was looking to upgrade a bit my setup, and on one internet expedition, i discovered the Zoom M3 MicTrak which seem to cross a lot of cases :
-onboard mic for camera
-32bit float recording
-shotgun
But I read so many complaints on differents sub that, even at 144 I'm wondering if its a good catch.
My main use :
-most of the time, I'm doing interview, so I have my good'ol seenheiser wireless setup with the mk40 going through the F3, and a secure exit on my cam so I double the recording (not the 32bit of course)
-but I recently encounter time when I need king of run-and-gun shots, so I'm wondering If I can find a proper solution.
When I was younger, I used to plug the H4n on the cam, but its bulky.
The other solution I found now is F2 on cam and an XLR mic (I have the massive NTG3 but now I just ordered the Audiotechnica to be more compact)
OR : the mini rode videomic, but as i'm relying only on camera, I'm loosing all the benefits of 32 Bits BUT at least I dont have to think about "is the sound running ?" all the time...
Any advices ? Setups ?
Hi there,
I'm victim of a massive spam from a website, with some variation, but always from "magicwin".
Everything goes to the spam section, but as I get almost one or two from them every hour, I wanted to find a way to automatically get rid from this as soon as they hit my spam folder.
The trick is that there's no message but an "image as message", so its pretty hard to filter. And the subject is changin also a bit,
I tried to create different rules, with "magicwin" as "from", etc. But the funny thing is that the rule never succeed EXCEPT if i decide to point it manually to the spam folder and launch it...
Which is not very efficient...
Do you have any idea of what's wrong and how to get rid of this mess ?
Thanks a lot
Hi,
Thanks from different topics and discussion, I finally fixed my choice to stay on my DDR4 system for now (DDR5 is too crazy steep, I wont have the posisbility to put more than 1000 only on ram...)
So I decided to go on the 14th gen, even with the heat problem.
Problem : in France at least, even those seem to suffer from price increase,
If I dont want to buy it from strange dropshipping, i7 is around 410-429,00 €, and the i5 259€^(95)
^(Does the extra cores really will make a difference ? Or shall I even go to an older gen in order not to spend so much and wait for the ram drop ?)
^((To be fair, I'm coming from a i7-6800k so anything will be a level-up...))
^(Bonus question : What motherboard shall I look for (my goal : max of usb ports, max of HDD connexions and max of ram slots if more than 4 exists (I have 8 now...)) ? And what kind of cooling ?)
^(Thanks a lot !)
Hi there,
Everything is a bit in the title.
I recently posted a question about updating my old i7-6800k to a MSI 5800X (in order to keep the max of DDR4 ram, etc), but I was thinking making the big leap and go for a i7 270k plus.
OG post : https://www.reddit.com/r/buildapc/comments/1t92i28/premiere_pro_station_lags_is_it_worth_to_cheap/
The only downside is that I should go with new RAM Sticks, so, if we talk about 64gb, its 1000 euros...
As this new proc seem pretty efficient, especially with premiere pro, will 32gb suffice ? (and if so, is there some Clock etc to worry ?) Or shall I stick with 5800x and more ram ?
My main goal : 4k editing (maybe 7k soon with those new generations camera) mainly.
My old i7 is still rocking at this, but I can clearly see it's suffering...
And bonus questions :
-no reason for everything else (power, ssd, Graphic card) not to be compatible, right ?
-If I update the processor and motherboard, shall I do a fresh install of windows etc ?
(usually when I updated my pc it was from scratch, so it's my main question)
Thanks !
Hi there,
I already asked a similar question but I have a few options now.
My computer is slowly showing signs of age : since the last premiere pro update, it keeps freezing, i need to work on proxies etc. +its not "win 11 compatible" (I should try Rufus etc, but is it worth it ?)
My actual setup is :
-MSI X99A SLI
-Intel Core i7-6800K
-6 slots of RAM like this
-Nvidia RTX 3060
A few bunch of SSD and HDD, but I know I'm gonna need to think about this as new Motherboard dont allow that much HDD (is it possible that so much HDD are causing my PC to slow down ?
My goal : without breaking the bank, and based on some of my parts, can I update a bit to smooth my main use which is editing 4k videos ? And in opposite, what would be a good update, and how much in those time of crisis ?
I went to some shops here, and that is what they propose when I ask to keep my DDR4 :
-MSI B550
-Ryzen 7 5800X
-a new ventilator bc mine is not good enough
My only (and maybe not the only one) downside of this : B550 only have 4 slots, so I will loose at least 16gb of ram. And Adobe loves RAM (rich b£$$ behavior in those days)
Is it still worth it ? Am I thinking right or am i trying to spare but with too much compromise ? Shall I go DDR5, newer computer and try to sell this one for some bucks ?
I'm willing to spend more as it's one of my main course of incomes, its just that the insane RAM prices is refraining me for now. But maybe i'm wrong to think this way. And those 45 crashes in a row yesterday prove me wrong (even when suddenly at 8pm everything started to run smooth without a reason).
Thanks a lot (I'm based in France by the way)
