Dating question

So I’m currently on Bumble and ended up meeting someone 10 years younger than me. Okay in the last 6 weeks, we text twice a day but we have only seen each other twice. He states he is very much into his business blah blah blah.

But how I feel is that he’s just not that much into me, though he says he is, as actions speak louder than words. I’m a great communicator and I have plain come out and told him this, but the man is still busy.

I decided enough was enough and basically “bowed out gracefully “. I have gone through all the possibilities in my head, maybe he’s still married etc. but I’m kind of done giving this too much brain time.

I feel bad as I liked him.

Meeting someone from Bumble

Why am I doing this? I keep asking myself that. Why not just lay low and put this whole dating idea behind me? I have been married twice, have lived with two men, I should just throw up my hands and say enough is enough already.

But here I am at 66 still doing this sh$t. AND I’m meeting a guy who is 10 years younger than me. Talk about a set up for disaster. My body has stayed in great shape but the face and upper arms tell a different story.

I have officially decided that if this meetup does NOT go well, I am going to pull myself out of any dating websites and stop the madness.

Question on how quickly you meet up for coffee

Okay so say you meet someone through a dating app and you trade a few chats here and there, but nothing significant. And right away they start bugging you to meet for coffee. Ok I understand that meeting in person is the prime decision factor on whether this can go anywhere, but why does it feel too quickly for me? Like shouldn’t we have some kind of conversation first?

There were a few people who I did connect with, would have definitely met for coffee, but instead they wanted to keep the conversations strictly through the platform they were on. And I thought no way was I going to keep that up indefinitely so backed out of conversations with them.

But now this guy just wants to jump into meeting without me knowing ANYTHING about him?

Just doesn’t feel right to me….

Dating apps

I find it totally WRONG when a male who has never texted with you, let alone had a chat with you, leaves you a message that they love you.

SERIOUSLY??? WTF IS THAT ALL ABOUT????

It just feels so wrong in every way possible. The word love then comes out as totally meaningless, they have desecrated it.

I immediately swipe left….

Meeting on a dating app

Let me give some background here. I am 66, in good shape, fairly attractive. I put myself out there in a dating app, and there was one guy who I instantly felt a connection to. And I thought he did so with me too.

But he just wants to keep chatting away via that platform as he says he’s most comfortable opening up that way. And while that’s all well and good, I find you need to keep the flow moving so to speak and continue on to the next step. Otherwise honestly what’s the point…maybe he gets money from that company by keeping the person chatting to him. Or something like that.

I asked him if he ever had a stalker before maybe that’s why he was so closed down. Nope, he just likes keeping things this way.

Long story short I finally “ended” it with him saying I wished him the best but felt we had reached a stalemate.

Any thoughts on this?

I am having a hard time with this break up

It’s been about 7 weeks, I guess. There was no closure at all, we were living together for the past 3-4 years and in the last year or so I knew something was off. I would ask him many times if he wanted me to leave but he always said no that he was just depressed over retirement etc.

But it was like overnight…he totally stopped talking to me, like the door had been firmly shut and he had nothing more to say to me. And so I moved out and there have been no words between us.

I did try to text him once asking if he was okay. And his text back was just that he didn’t have anything further to say to me. It cut like a knife….

I want to get in touch with him to say hey we love each other right? So maybe we could still work on this?

But I won’t. I will keep putting one foot in front of the other even while I’m still looking backwards….
