My Caique bit me so hard I’m heartbroken

I have my Mango 🦜 since 8 months, and occasionally he targets my right hand, so I stopped using it to ask him to climb onto my hand, etc. Since then, I have been using my left hand to feed him fruits or anything while playing with him.
Today, while he was playing near the window, he got agitated and started shouting. I calmed him down by singing his favourite song, and after about 30 minutes, I thought I would give him a fruit. So I asked him to come flying and sit on my hand. He came, but he bit me so hard and wouldn’t let go of my hand. It caused really strong pain and gave me a deep cut and lots of blood (i wanted to share the picture but may be it will get blocked).
I can’t believe he did this to me. I am crying. I am always nice to him and polite, and I don’t know what I did.

Done with a virgo friend, i am dead tired

TL;DR: I’ve repeatedly asked a friend to respect my boundaries around emotional dumping, but she continues to unload constant relationship crises on me despite knowing how overwhelmed I already am. It’s always about her, her life and she is the only one with the most challenging life

I’m honestly done at this point. There are absolutely no boundaries with this virgo friend.

She constantly bombards me with situations from her dating life and asks me for advice or just vent out like every day. I’ll literally take a 15-minute break here and there from my stressful job just to respond to her or call her because she’s always dealing with some kind of relationship emergency.

She’ll date someone, get ghosted, and then dump everything on me—her trauma, her past, and every single detail. I’ve already explained to her that the way she unloads everything on me is overwhelming, especially considering the kind of work I do. My job is stressful and demanding, while hers gives her much more free time and flexibility.

I’ve confronted her. I’ve tried having direct conversations with her about boundaries. She will get emotional and if i write short texts because i am busy, she will say i am giving her hot and cold and sometimes she acts as if she understands what i go thorough every day. I’m also dealing with some health issues. Nothing changes.

She’ll text me, “How are you?” and before I can even properly answer, the emotional dumping begins. At this point, it feels like she only asks how I’m doing as an opening to talk about herself.

There’s no consideration for my time or mental space. I have a family, pets, a demanding job, and a toxic extended family that I’m already dealing with. It’s difficult enough trying to manage everything without constantly being expected to handle someone else’s relationship crises, too.

I’m exhausted, and I genuinely don’t know what else I’m supposed to do when I’ve already communicated my boundaries multiple times and nothing has changed. I want to ghost her but i can’t since we have common friends. I literally don’t wanna stay in touch in any shape or form. I am dead tired

Every autumn I rewatch GG* *🤍it’s become my yearly tradition.
I was wondering if there’s a WhatsApp group (or any group chat on instagram) for fellow GG fans who do annual rewatches? It would be fun to watch along and chat about the episodes together 🍁🥮🍂☕️🤎

Edit- just created a group on discord. Installed discord for it :) i don’t know how everything works there but here is the link. https://discord.gg/KBkx4KuxX

Is it okay to use a functional job title on CV/LinkedIn if my official HR title is different?

Hi everyone,

I’m based in the Netherlands and wanted to ask for honest advice.

My official title in the HR system is something like “Lead Business Analyst”, but the actual work I do is much broader. I lead on Global transformation and strategic initiatives, including cross-functional improvement projects, programme governance, operating model/process design, stakeholder alignment, change adoption, and working with senior leaders across regions.

When applying for roles, I’m worried that using only my official title makes me look too narrow, because recruiters may think I’m “just a BA”, even though my day-to-day work is closer to transformation/programme/business change work. I get rejected based on my title I think because despite the requirements matching with my experience 100%.

Is it acceptable on a CV or LinkedIn to use a functional title that better reflects the work?
For example:
“Transformation Lead, Global Transformation & Strategic Initiatives”

or

“Transformation Programme Lead” or “programme manager”

I would still be honest in interviews and explain that my official title is Lead Business Analyst, but that my role sits within transformation/strategic initiatives.

Where is the line between acceptable positioning and misleading title inflation, especially in the Dutch job market? I don’t want to lie, but I also don’t want to keep underselling myself because the official title doesn’t fully reflect the role.

Would appreciate advice from recruiters, hiring managers, HR people, or anyone who has dealt with this.

I’m trying to understand if this is a usual household dynamic or if we’re just handling things poorly.

My husband and I have had ongoing issues with him forgetting things, household tasks, plans, small responsibilities, etc. We’ve talked about it many times. I’ve tried using a shared calendar and to-do lists, but he often forgets to check them. I also end up reminding him frequently, which has started to feel like a lot of mental load on my side since I work full-time too and have a pet.

Recently, he told me that part of the issue is how I communicate things. For example, I’ll mention tasks while he’s doing something else (cleaning, cooking, etc.), and he says he doesn’t register it properly. I pass them on while i am also doing something like-“Hey we need to book a flight to so and so, we keep forgetting, we have to do it before it gets expensive, i will write them down lets finish it this evening “.

We had a long argument last night trying to find a solution. He asked me to only bring up to-dos when he’s “not doing anything,” like when he’s relaxed or watching TV.

That’s where I’m struggling. It feels unrealistic to hold onto every thought and wait for the “right moment,” especially since daily life is full of quick exchanges like “we need groceries” or “don’t forget to take out the garbage bags tomorrow.” At the same time, I can understand that he might genuinely process things differently. Later we thought maybe be a To do list App will be better but I’m sure he will forget to check it. He wants me to do sit him down, every time I need to tell him something important and it’s unrealistic to me.

For context, I’ve spoken to a therapist who suggested he might have ADHD or something similar, but he’s unsure and hasn’t been diagnosed (he is open to testing, though).

I don’t want to turn this into a blame situation. I’m trying to find a sustainable way for us to handle responsibilities without one person carrying most of the mental load.

How can couples practically divide responsibility for remembering and managing household tasks when one partner struggles with follow-through, and what systems or habits have worked in similar situations to make sure both people stay accountable without constant reminders?

Would really appreciate hearing how others deal with this dynamic.
