How to deal with this rust
This is surface rust on my car roof. It only appeared recently. What should I do to, remove the rust, and prevent more rust forming.
Am poor AF for the foreseeable future, so there's no taking my car to a paint shop.

So I asked Google AI and it gave me step-by-step instructions. The last step I successfully implemented was creating the shortcut in TQA. Now I can't figure-out how to pin this shortcut to my TV's homescreen alongside all my app shortcuts.
Google AI then tells me to,
If I make TQA visible, it displays instead the actual app and not the shortcut.
What am I doing wrong?
About a year ago, I bought a second-hand, out-of-warranty HP Zbook 15 G6 laptop. It's been fine until yesterday when I needed to access BIOS but couldn't remember the password I used. I've tried every iteration of the passwords I normally use, and, I even opened up the Zbook to remove the CMOS battery in the hope it would clear the BIOS (which it didn't because the Zbook's BIOS is stored on non-volatile flash memory. I did a deep Google on this and apparently HP will not supply a master reset password, or a .bin file you install on a USB that gets you back into BIOS.
I had found only two rather drastic solutions, have a computer tech 'zap' the non-volatile flash memory to clear the BIOS, or, just go replace the entire mainboard.
Then, I stumbled across what is called the HP BIOS Configuration Utility (BCU). I obtained a copy but I'm finding its instructions complex and difficult to follow. If used correctly, will the BCU get me back into my laptop's BIOS? If so, can someone familiar with using BCU please post a tutorial/how to video, or walk me through the steps I need to make?
Or is there something else I can try to fix this?
I edit my photos and video on my Windows 11 PC. The PC has a couple of USB Type-C ports, with USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 support on the mobo rear panel.
I have a USB C SD card reader.
It's too awkward to plug the reader directly into one of the USB C ports on the rear so I use a USB C extension cable and place the reader on my computer desk.
Is it possible that using an extension cable slows transfer speeds? If it does, can I buy an USB C SD card reader that has a long cable (1/2 meters etc...)?
I don't want to break this. How do I unclip this tiny lead?
This is driving me nuts.
I have a couple of Windows 11 PCs (1 ethernet, 1 wifi) on the same home network connecting through the same router. PC 1 (ethernet) can see and access PC's shared drives and folders but PC 2 can't see/access PC 1's shared folders. This is despite both PCs having the exact same options selected in Network and Sharing Centre/Advanced sharing settings. Refer pics.
On both PCs, I have, unshared the drives, then reshared. I have disabled then re-enabled Network Discovery. I have restarted both PCs, I have restarted the router yet the exact same issue persist.
Note: The issue became apparent after I enabled Wake on LAN PC1 so PC2 could wake and access PC's shared drives/folders. My WakeMeOnLan app on PC2 successfully detects my sleeping PC1 and on-command, PC1 can wake PC2.
When the CRL opens, I'd like to get on at Britomart stopping at every new station, get off and have a look around then get back on and so forth before arriving back at Britomart. Will it be possible just to do the loop and can you get a round trip ticket?
I salvage discarded wooden shipping pallets for their timber planks and beams.
Using a crow bar or a rubber mallet is awkward, slow and I get a high damage rate where I split planks making them unusable.
Instead, I have been using two other methods.
This works well often but can also break the planks if the nails holding the planks down are really firm. It also doesn't work if there is only a top plank and no bottom plank for the jack to push against.
This method works great for planks but leaves the body of the nail in the beam making the beam unsuitable for cutting and bandsaw shaping.
What I'm thinking of doing is grinding-off the nail heads then lifting-off the planks.
Using locking pliers and a mallet, I would then remove the remainder of the nails from the beams.
Is their some sort of grinding head I could buy that fits on a high speed hand drill or perhaps a hand grinder?
The head would need to large enough to get remove nail heads but not to large to remove a lot of the surrounding wood. The other issue is being able to keep the grinding head from slipping off the nail head as the grinding head spins.
I hadn't used Premiere Pro for a month or two. Today, when I went to render a timeline and clicked 'Render In to Out' nothing happened. No progress bar, no error message. Via Creative Cloud, I applied the latest Premiere update and restarted my Win 11 PC. Still can't render. Despite this, videos do successfully export and play fine. Anyone know what the fix is?
I need to blur a license plate number on a moving car using the Gaussian Blur effect but I can't figure-out how to zoom in on the starting point in Program Monitor screen. I want to zoom in on the plate and bring it in to the centre of the frame so I can work on the blur area.
I've tried Googling for instructional videos but all the ones I have found show how to zoom in the entire moving image.
I have a Motorola Edge 60 Pro which I rooted so I could use a particular app.
For about a month now, I have been getting a persistent prompt (which I can't permanently dismiss) by my phone to install an Android security patch system update. If I try to install the update I get the message 'Package Verification Failed. the update package being downloaded is not compatible with the current software version on the device.'
I'm guessing this is caused by rooting the phone which modified the software version on the phone?
Since I can't permanently dismiss the prompt to download the update, is the only solution to unroot my phone, install the update, then reroot my phone?
Thought: instead of unrooting, if there was a custom ROM available which I could install on my phone, would that solve the problem and allow me to install the update?
