If you’re 5’, 7 1/2” and 148 pounds, you’ll really like the Eddie Bauer fleece-lined slacks at Costco. I hesitatingly purchased them today because my new part-time job requires khaki and I have been inseparably in love with my blue slacks, but oh man—so glad I bought these. It’s like a tailor took a warm blanket and made a customized pair of khakis just for me. They fit to the mm in every dimension. They were $25. The fit is worth so much more. These are not coming off of my body this fall/winter. So comfy!

TL;DR-Tiny Wings is the best game ever.
I’m almost ashamed to say how much of a life I don’t have as evidenced by the amount of time I’ve spent playing Tiny Wings. When the game first came out, I beat it, declared a Tiny Wings master after weeks and weeks of nearly nonstop play. Fast forward about 15 years and here I am today, again playing for days on end. Can’t seem to break level 28 this time, though. My first love was Pac-Man. I jammed in the arcade, Atari 2600. I have played the core games like Frogger, Tetris—the Intellivision catalog, NES and of course iPhone games. Andreas Illiger is a goddamn game-writing deity. The game is so perfect, so elegant, so challenging, so addictive. It has all of the components of what a game should be—including the music. In my opinion, it’s a flawless game in every facet. I’m currently 54 years-old. Again, almost ashamed that I have been so consumed by an iOS game, but that’s a testament to the brilliant writing that is Tiny Wings. If you haven’t played, I highly recommend it.

Does anyone else prefer to watch movies and TV in VR? I have computers, phones, TV’s and I prefer to watch my content in VR because it’s like going to the movie theater on my bed. Once I started watching on the giant screen, everything else seems less entertaining.

At a grocery store this A.M. and the cashier was an elderly lady with obvious Parkinson’s. I was not only sad for her, but in looking at my own $5 food budget, realized that this is my not-so-distant future. Why oh why can’t America just be affordable? Why can’t everyone just live and retire ? We have the $, but it’s so unevenly distributed. Maybe some folks are more talented and made better life choices, investments, etc., but there’s truly enough for everyone. The greed of late-stage capitalism is disgusting beyond reason. We are witnessing the transformation of America into a literal third-world country, but with big bombs. If you celebrated 250 and had food and parties and shit…I don’t even know what to say. You’re fortunate, but know that so, so many around you are suffering and America isn’t worth celebrating.

For me, life has been too expensive. I have kept to myself for many years-mostly out of the inability to afford to go out, but partially because I’m shy. I can be super goofy and fun around those people who bring it out of me. Sadly, those folks have grown apart, moved away, and have been married and/or retiring for years. My people are witty, sarcastic, non-religious, not afraid to dance in the grocery store, GenX people. I still love 70’s TV and movies, but also new entertainment. I have seen every episode of Little House On The Prairie nteenth times (oh yeah and a new LHOTP starts today on NFLX-or wherever you sail the 7 seas). I can also recite every lyric to “Gin and Juice” and know every line from the movie “Friday”. I’m an older music soul. I find myself listening to a lot of oldies-70’s, 80’s, 90’s and even elevator instrumentals and quite often deep house-live the bass and beats and no lyrics. I can also beat you at music trivia and play ragtime on my piano. I enjoy playing, but cannot sing. I like IPA and coffee. I actually like all foods, but don’t eat too much because food is expensive and when rent is 1/2 your salary, it kind of puts a damper on things. So yeah-I am a goofy, but educated 50’s, music-and sunshine-loving agnostic guy who is looking for friends in Allentown and surrounding areas. I get along with everyone, but will never be able to stomach MAGA. At this point, It’s not a matter of fiscal conservatism—it’s a matter of morals/right versus wrong.
