I started listening to the Grateful Dead this week

Not sure what I think about what I’ve listened to so far. My favorite songs from them right now are Morning Dew, Uncle John’s Band, Cumberland Blues, Truckin’, and Tennessee Jed (Live in Paris). I’ve only listened to a small number of songs from them. Their catalog is massive when you count the live albums. That’s why I’m focusing more on their studio albums right now.

I decided to listen to the Grateful Dead mainly because my dad is a fan of them. He’s been one since I was little. I gifted him Europe ‘72 on vinyl for Father’s Day this year and that’s when I decided to start listening to the Grateful Dead.

It’s a beautiful experience getting into new music and listening to different artists and bands.

Going through an experience involving music and I am not sure if it’s unique to me and it’s bothering me

Something has been bothering me. I’ve mainly been listening to classic rock music and every classic rock artist or band that I listen to is from the 1960s, 70s, or 80s. I don’t listen to much modern music anymore. Just a few artists or bands like Zach Bryan and Twenty One Pilots.

I used to listen to a lot more modern music. I remember back in high school I was really into rap music and that ended while I was in college. Then while I was in college I really got into alternative rock and indie music.

I guess what’s bothering me is I want to try get back into some of the music I was listening to a lot before (the alternative rock and indie stuff) but I find it difficult for some reason.

I was mentioning selling some of my records to my dad and grandma but they said I might want to listen to them again and I shouldn’t sell them. I agreed. It’s just when you mention bands like for example The Beach Boys to people who are around my age and they say “I don’t know who that is” it sucks. And yes that actually happened at work a few weeks ago.

So if anyone has any suggestions on what I should do feel free to let me know because I for some reason am finding it difficult to revisit music I listened to in the past.

What is the best song off of Holland?

I bought Holland at a yard sale today for 25 cents. Not sure if it’s in good condition or not. It looks like it is and even came in an inner sleeve. Unfortunately I’m missing Mount Vernon and the Fairway. I’ve never listened to Holland so I was wondering what is the best song off of it or at the very least what are some highlights?

I think I ruined my life and I feel alone in dealing with it

Last year in September I made a huge mistake. I threatened to kill a student at the college I used to go to and I got expelled. I’ve applied to other colleges in the state I live in but they don’t accept me because of what happened as it’s on my record. I tried applying to online college but I made a mistake on one of the forms and it’s taking a long time to fix. It’s not looking good.

I feel like I ruined my life. I now work as a cleaner at a local grocery store and people tell me I doing fine and haven’t ruined my life because I have a job and I managed to get a car recently. I just want to finish college. I feel if I don’t finish college I’m a failure. Everything seems like it’s doesn’t change and my life isn’t improving. I’m stuck cleaning the grocery store for the foreseeable future.

I have no friends to help me deal with things. I feel like a social reject. I have so much trouble making friends because I have autism. I don’t want people at work to know about my disability but it hampers me in many ways. I feel strange talking to my co workers. No one talks to me except when I say hi to them.

I just want things to change and it’s looking like nothing will. I feel stuck. Please help me.

I started a drawing of The Doors today so here’s progress on the end of day 1

I finished the drawing

Most likely the last drawing of The Beatles I do

I don’t usually post unfinished drawings but here’s one I’m working on of The Beatles

I also wanted to add that this will most likely be the last drawing of The Beatles I do. I chose on purpose their last photoshoot which took on August 22nd, 1969 at Tittenhurst Park.

I haven’t posted any drawings I’ve made of The Beatles in a while so here’s a couple

Based on photos taken by Robert Whitaker in late 1965. The second one was used as the front cover of the 1966 U.S. tour program.

This was my Zach Bryan concert - Cleveland 5/9/26

I went to my first Zach Bryan concert. Actually this was my first stadium concert and also my first big country concert. I didn’t really like the opener Dijon much. I really loved Zach Bryan’s performance a lot though. I’m still trying to find words to describe how I feel about the concert. It was beyond what I thought he would do. I thought he’d perform 25 songs but he performed 35 songs! Man it was insane. I don’t think I have a favorite song he performed live but I really like Atlantic City because I haven’t heard that song before. Shoutout to the band too they did really well. Here are some pictures from me, my dad, and his friend who I went to the concert with.

I'm going on an Alaskan cruise with my parents in the end of July. I'm 21 years old and have never been to Alaska. I've never left the Eastern U.S. (unless Ohio is in the Midwest because I've been to Cleveland). I'm wondering how it is visiting Alaska because I find myself not completely looking forward to this trip because I don't know what to expect. I'm a big history buff, I like different cuisines, and I also like rock music. Those are my interests. I'm not sure if there is any history in Alaska. I haven't researched anything about Alaskan history or Alaskan cuisine. Anyways can someone help me out. I'm going to give you guys my travel itinerary if that helps. Thanks.

July 25th - Seattle, WA

July 26th - At Sea

July 27th - Juneau (Mendenhall Glacier and Salmon Bake)

July 28th - Skagway (White Pass Scenic Railway)

July 29th - Glacier Bay National Park (Scenic Cruising)

July 30th - Ketchikan (Totem Bight State Park and Lumberjack Show)

July 31st - Victoria, BC (I don't plan on doing anything here because the ship only stops there for 2 hours at night)

August 1st - Seattle, WA
