Im working on a fanfiction of a show I've watched lately and since its my first time writing anything im asking for advice

The premise of the story is simple, its a wish plot, basically the protagonist finds a magical lamp that grants them a wish, when it comes to the story progression i wanted to up scale things, y'know like intensify the conflict and give more freedom to what could happen, the type of stuff you'd normally find with a "it was all a dream" plot twist or "i wish to cancel my previous wich and that everything goes back to normal" but i want neither of these, they're cheap ways for writers who bite more than they can chew to wrap things up after meeting a dead end

So i had this idea to use both of them and add another plot twist that hopefully ties it all together

The plot twist i had in mind is that the genie lied and the protagonist actually had 3 wishes instead of 1, when she asks to cancel her wish he says no but he actually does it by turning it all into a dream, so basically the first part of the story is real but when she makes her 2nd wish the world goes back to normal and the events continue inside her mind

my question is would this make a satisfying ending or should i just rework half the fanfic

Basically an alternative universe where (almost) everything is the opposite, heroes are villains & vice versa, I've read 2 fanfictions of this concept and currently working on my own

Im curious to hear your thoughts on the idea, does it have potential for an interesting story? Should it have been implemented in the show? What would a nega version of your favourite character be like?

The military service was a key part in Donald's character in most of his versions and although the reboot never brought it up is there a chance it could have happened at some point?

Donald is 36 years old in 2017 when the show takes place wich means he was born in 1981, and that he was 18 y/o in 1999, we don't know how long was he in college but we know he was there where he formed the 3 caballeros, by taking the lowest estimation the earliest he could've joined the army is 2000, and in 2007 the spear of selene incident happened and he retired from adventuring to raise the boys wich leaves a 7 years window where he may or may not joined the military and got sent to war in wich case there's only 2 possibilities: Afghanistan (2001) or iraq (2003), so what do you think
