I’m in a an interracial relationship and interracial topics and subs make me UNCOMFORTABLE bc everything is abt fetish. I was recommended the interracial dating sub by Reddit then I went on there to see what it’s abt fr and I was turned off. Majority of the post and comments were giving weird asf and fetish. Like where are the normal people who date because the person is a good human being? Why is every post “I only date Asians”, “I’ve never dated inside my race and don’t plan to” or “how can I only attract black women”???

I’ve always wanted to talk to other couples, especially older couples (Black woman, Mexican man) abt their experiences with each other/cultures just to get a better understanding because even tho me and my partner have been dating for a long time we’re only 23, still young and we don’t have family we can go to for dating advice in general.

This Black girl on the ask(my city) sub was asking about which neighborhood she should move to and one of the neighborhoods is predominantly white and very racist. How do I know this? Idk, maybe because I lived in that city my entire life… but anyways, the other neighborhood she mentioned is more black and diverse and closer to her job apparently. She said she visited the white hood and it was “nice”. Majority of the people that were telling her to move to that racist neighborhood were either white or not from the city. Even two black girls were saying that they visited there and it wasn’t racist, which has to be a lie or they don’t know what micro aggressions look like. Being FROM and visiting a place is two different things and most likely are going to be two different experiences. So the OP was literally responding to every comment about moving to that white neighborhood, but everybody that was telling her to move to the black neighborhood was very much ignored so evidently she had her mind made up before asking the question.
The reason why I’m irritated by all of this is because I really don’t want Black people to experience racism in any form, also I’m Autistic and sometimes I take things personal if it’s not right (I know I shouldn’t, so don’t drag me😭)

But seriously, wouldn’t y’all trust a person that is from that city to tell you about the city and not a visitor or somebody that just recently moved there? Bc they don’t know how that place really is. I know wtf I’ve seen from that fucking neighborhood and its residents all the way from tiny micro aggressions to overt racism like people calling u the hard R and/or having swastika tattoos etc. Also, it’s very gentrified so why would anybody wanna live there anyway?
