On May 27th of this year, my brother came home with a chubby green caterpillar in a paper tissue and told me he’d plucked it off of a sewer grate. I decided to use a little critter catcher I had and made an enclosure just to see what would happen. On the same day, it buried itself and we never saw it again😭 Until like 5:00 AM today when I woke up to what I thought was a little motor running. I thought my fish tank was going crazy, but NO it was the little guy! He finally came to the surface, so I rushed outside to release him. Shortly after this video, he took off into the night (???) and I dropped my phone lol (please ignore the mess, I have a dog)

Hiatus is over! The main Zane construction is near completed. I broke three sewing needles, burned and poked all fingers I own, and had to give Lloyd a skin graft using flesh from under his mask to fix the scar on his forehead. But I’m quite satisfied with how the plush is turning out!

Materials used: Pretty much everything this time around😭

Now the true question…do I draw on the fabric folds? Because that’s all that I’m left with as far as I am concerned. Side note, should I glue the tag onto his side?

Today was all about Lloyd modeling the outfit components. I’m going to sew them all together either tomorrow or the next day once I’m done with work. Hopefully then it’ll be a lot neater than now😭 Poor baby’s wearing a straight jacket at the moment! For now, I think I’ll make the hood in a way to cover the lobotomy scar, but if I have time, I’ll use some of the grey felt and see how that looks.

Materials used: White minky, grey minky, pins, hopes and dreams

I added on the faux suede and felt emblem on the last one so you can see what I’m trying to do. Side note, this Lloyd looks so bald without his headband! Debating if I wanna give Zane one…

OKAY! So I managed to make a few of the small accessories, removed the crease in between Lloyd’s eyes, and changed the color of one of his eyes from green to blue. Made one of the eyebrows thicker and black. I’ve run into my first issue where removing the crease caused a noticeable tear, so my brother suggested I use some of the grey minky to make half of Zane’s face titanium (like his face plate is broken).

Materials used so far:

Emblem: Cardboard, yellow felt, hot glue, acrylic markers
The brown strap thing: Faux suede, hot glue (somehow worked), acrylic markers

I had to do the embroidery for the left eye and left eyebrow by hand, as I don’t have a machine. That’s why it looks a little wonky. I had to take a break since I’ve got some mild arthritis lol. What do you think? Half titanium or nah?

I had to include these figures because look at them😭. I love everything about these guys. Even though they’re just wearing some extra accessories with the school uniform, it works. Yami gets a lot of praise specifically, I’ve noticed, but Yugi deserves some love too.

Bought this Lloyd plushie for like $10 and I’m planning on deconstructing and rearranging it into Zane. What should I try? I’m still in the planning phase, but I figured this Zane would be the easiest to do. I’m familiar with sewing fabric/patterns, but only by hand.

Is it because I woke up at 3 AM with a splitting headache, and have been awake since? Am I stupid?
