Squats - can’t get lower
I have FAI and my physio told me to reduce my ROM to about this much. Worried it’s not going to be good enough? And not sure if form is ok lower back wise. I have been increasing the weight but very slowly

I’ve never really seen anyone post about this and definitely don’t know anyone who suffers from this issue, but I just don’t feel tired, ever. The only time I’ve felt physically tired is after travelling for days straight and being awake for about 40 hours.
This has been a lifelong issue for me, and sleep initiation is a NIGHTMARE. The only way I can fall asleep is if I use cannabis (I have a prescription for this) otherwise I lay wide awake, anxious, angry, tossing and turning. I’m not currently taking my Ritalin but I’ve found there’s no difference in this specific issue whether I’m medicated or not, I’ve been like this since I was a child. Tried melatonin, all the sleep hygiene stuff, no avail. I’m a very active person, and even long runs and gym sessions will not tire me out. I am SO OVER THIS. I feel jealous of people that can nap, feel sleepy at the end of the day, know when to stop. It’s like this is just missing from my brain and I want to be able to stop using cannabis but I don’t see a solution.
I use zopiclone if I ever have to sleep away from home (hate doing this) but it’s not something I want to rely on long term and I feel like it’s not “real sleep”.
Just want to know if I’m alone with this cause I always see posts about how people feel so exhausted and I don’t get it. What’s wrong with me?
I’ve been in a slump lately and want to get out and do some hikes/walks on the weekends to lift my spirits. I suck at researching and need to find some walking tracks around Auckland, please give me some recommendations!
I can’t drive very far out (located in Ellerslie), and don’t have any gear besides standard walking shoes and raincoat so nothing too hectic but I like long-ish walks, around 1-4 hours round trip.
TIA!
I’m 27, and have been with my boyfriend (28) for three years. I would love a family. I dream about our nonexistent child every day and I wish I could have a family with him. The conversation has come up a few times as he wants a family too, and mentioned over dinner that he would like to start before we’re 30. (PANIC)
I am TERRIFIED of being pregnant and mainly of giving birth and postpartum. I honestly do not think I would be able to get through it. I’m scared I will lose myself completely when I become a parent, as I struggle a lot with emotional regulation and hormone changes during my cycle, so the thought of postpartum scares me so much because I feel like I’ll lose my mind, my mental health will tank, and it’ll destroy my relationship.
Don’t even get me started on giving birth and all the bodily changes. AuDHD mothers, how on earth did you get through this??? I’ve heard horror story after horror story and I’m just not strong enough. Even with pain relief I fear would be in an anxiety attack the entire time and not be able to cope with the sensations or just thinking about what’s happening to my body. There are so many things that can go wrong, and even if nothing does go wrong, I still feel like I couldn’t get through birth and postpartum.
I guess I just want to hear your stories. How did you manage this? Was it as bad as you were expecting?
My boyfriend’s family have invited me on holiday with them in October, and I’m already so anxious. I don’t want to ruin the trip like I have for myself on previous holidays but I don’t know how I’m going to cope. When I’m on holiday I get very anxious, controlling, and rigid, and I end up being in my head the whole time instead of enjoying the trip.
My biggest struggle is sleep, I’ve had lifelong sleep issues and cannot sleep if I’m away from home, I have to take sleeping pills to even have a chance and if I’m really worked up or uncomfortable, or have to share a room or something, even these don’t work. I’m anxious about how late I’ll have to stay up bc I HATE staying up late. When I can’t sleep, I worry about the lack of sleep and the effects it has on my body and mind, then worry that I’ll never sleep again and lose my mind. It’s catastrophizing I know, but I can’t break that thought loop and it’s real bad when I’m not at home.
I also worry about food poisoning, I’m so so scared of getting this, being unwell at all really (all my anxieties are health related in one way or another), and I feel like being at a resort in Fiji has food poisoning risks and I’m going to be on edge and weird about food for the whole trip.
My bf’s family are all really chill and relaxed, the opposite of me, and I want to be able to enjoy this time and bond with them and just BE for the week, but my head is already going a million miles an hour and I’m so scared I’m going to have a meltdown and spoil it.
I would love any advice or coping mechanisms, what would you do to cope in this situation? How can I be more present and not let the anxiety take over?
I’ve been doing Bulgarians with a dumbbell in one hand for ages, but have maxed out the dumbbells at my gym and can’t go up in weight.
I want to start doing them with a dumbbell in each hand so I can do more weight (have tried smith machine and it feels very awkward, it’s an angled one at my gym and I couldn’t work it out) but oh my gosh the balance is a huge issue, I am wobbling all over the place and can’t get that mind muscle connection with my glutes as the balance is so shaky. Do I stick at this and hope it gets easier over time? Or just go back to one handed and add more reps or something?
My big Tsuki and her funny positions. She loves showing us her tummy when she’s not getting enough attention!!
