If companies want to build data centres, then the government should implement non-negotiable conditions:
- They must build their own sustainable power source so they don’t overload our grids
- They need to find and use alternative means of cooling their servers. If they insist on water cooling, then they must build their own reservoir.
- They must build direct air capture and storage plants to offset their Carbon emissions.
On top of that, governments should also make these companies retrofit their existing centres with these new facilities.

RoboCop: The Series might not have been so bad.
Granted, it was a watered down, safe for TV take on the IP but it still did its best to retain the satirical spirit of the original film and also expand upon the idea of a man trapped in a machine.
I think it deserves a little more attention and credit than a lot of fans are willing to give it.
Plus, it’s an okay police procedural drama you can put on when you want something different to watch.

New Monster flavour with MV inspired advertising
It never ceases to amaze me how much of an impact MV has had on the thoughts people have about Miami.

Are there any mods that allow you to search players & AI without them being dead or injured?
I play combat ops solo on Everon pretty regularly, and I recruit AI to help me complete the missions but they sometimes run out of ammunition and I have no way to give them additional magazines without shooting their leg to down them and use the search option to drop them spare mags.
If there’s a mod that allows you to search players and AI without having to down them, then please send me the link so I can download it because I can’t seem to find one.
These click bait articles don’t help
The article itself is about Circuit Breaker. As usual though, Screen Rant use it as an opportunity to get more clicks for their website. It’s infuriating
Newly formed FIA commandos secure a Soviet outpost
6th July 1989: Thanks to special training and new equipment from the British Ministry of Defence, a recon team of the newly formed FIA commandos secured a Soviet outpost outside of Udarnik during an evening patrol. The Soviet reaction can be seen in the last photo.
The BBC really knows how to make a headline
After reading the comments, many people thought that the plans for the hospital were rejected full stop and that it wouldn’t be built.
But they clearly never read the article (I know, a lot to ask). If they did, however, they’d understand that the current proposals were rejected because they were too expensive.
But the BBC knows exactly what they’re doing, a click bait (rage bait) headline that they know many won’t read more into.
And, I suppose, it’s the state of all current news sources. Click bait and vague headlines to stir up unnecessary controversy and outrage from those who can’t be arsed to read a two minute article.
EDIT: it’s not the case that I find the headline “inaccurate” or “misleading”, it’s more the case that the headline could give a hint of why the plans were rejected:
“ScotGov rejects expensive hospital replacement plans”
That’ll tell anyone scrolling by why the plans got rejected, they were expensive.
And, despite some belief, it’s not a “boohoo, the SNP government is shown as bad” kind of thing. It’s a “this headline will lead people to believe that the hospital has been scrapped altogether” kind of thing.
As I clearly said in my post too, it’s something that’s wrong will all current news outlets. Many people don’t read articles anymore, they just rely on the headlines, and vague headlines or half truth headlines can stir up trouble.
Does anyone have any idea why this mod was banned?
It’s a pity because it had some decent assets
Found this opinion in the HHL:Vietnam subReddit, thoughts?
IMO, it’s a bit rich to say that there’s no co-ordination in Reforger when every single match I’ve played on HLL has radio silence in the squad chat and nothing but squabbles on the leadership chat.
In Reforger, I’ve actually participated in squad manoeuvres and helped to organise logistic runs in about 7/10 servers where communication has been kept tight, consistent, and everyone said only what needs to be shared.
Is this mold on the ribbon cable? If so, how do I clean it without damaging it?
I got this PS2 second hand and I’m opening it to dust it out and clean the laser lens, but I noticed this on the ribbon cable and I figured that I could use IPA, but don’t know if it’ll be effective or cause damage
I think RTD is in a bit of a huff
In his recent insta post, he said…
“For the record: there was no script, I never wrote it, and no actor was ever approached to play the next Doctor. You may disagree; fine, sit in that chair and wait to be proved right. You'll wait a lonnng time”
That to me reads like a bitter man who has been given the boot by the BBC and is angry with the fans about it, so he’s being snide as fuck.
If it is the case that the BBC decided to end the partnership, with him and Bad Wolf, then he only has himself to blame, not the fans.
Despite the fact he wanted and planned for a 3rd season, he should’ve written for the number of episodes and seasons actually agreed for Doctor Who between the BBC & Disney which was 21 (3x 60th specials, 2x Christmas specials, 2x seasons with 8 episodes each).
That way, the era would’ve been contained and wrapped up nicely with no loose threads instead of being too ambitious and writing for future seasons that weren’t guaranteed.
A disappointing and frustrating end to what could’ve been a decent era
Just processed the news about the future of Doctor Who and (like everyone else) I’m disappointed and frustrated by RTD’s supposed lack of care for the fans.
I’ll admit, I really enjoyed the recent era as it was happening, but in retrospect it wasn’t what it was set out to be.
This era could’ve been great. It could’ve been a step in the right direction. But instead, we got RTD’s fan-wank fan fictions brought to the screen with story arcs that either went nowhere or were hurriedly resolved.
He should have actually planned and written for the number of episodes that were agreed and commissioned instead of trying to force a continuation through a daft cliffhanger with Billie Piper (fuck knows who she plays at this point).
Now we’re stuck in limbo with no indication of when the show will actually return (if at all).
Also, that huge TARDIS set? Waste of fucking space and money. Massive for the sake of it.
That’s all.
BI missed the mark with playable FIA classes.
BI have kinda missed the mark when they made the FIA a playable faction, especially with classes and load-outs.
Right now, as you all know, you spawn with:
1x PM handgun, 1x PM magazine, 1x radio, 1x torch, 1x compass, 1x map, 1x ‘shopping list’, 1x tourniquet, & 1x field dressing
However, for Combat Ops: Everon, they already have pre-made classes and load-outs:
Guerrilla: 1x PM handgun, 6x PM Magazines, 1x radio, 1x torch, 1x compass, 1x map, 1x white flare, 1x tourniquet, 1x field dressing
Guerrilla grenadier: 1x PM handgun, 4x PM Magazines, 1x radio, 1x torch, 1x compass, 1x map, 2x white flare, 2x RGD-5 grenades, 1x tourniquet, 1x field dressing
Guerrilla medic: 1x PM handgun, 2x PM Magazines, 1x radio, 1x torch, 1x compass, 1x map, 2x white flare, 3x tourniquet, 7x field dressing, 2x morphine
4)Guerrilla spotter: 1x PM handgun, 2x PM Magazines, 1x radio, 1x torch, 1x compass, 1x map, 2x white flare, 1x B8 binoculars, 1x tourniquet, 1x field dressing
I feel like these should have been made available for conflict instead of the load-out we got. They still have some limitations so don’t go against the ‘outgunned’ narrative and give players a little more choice and control over what part they want to play for their team.
TL;DR: Combat Ops classes for FIA should’ve been made available in Conflict.
Didn’t realise I was playing Minecraft
Seriously though, what’s up with the clouds?
