Tapped using Google pay, shows right away when checked by fair inspector

I've always known that if I pay using a credit card on Google pay or Apple pay it doesn't get uploaded to the system instantly and it doesn't show on fair inspectors' device right away. Although it shouldn't be like this but my credit card gets charged at night so that makes sense. It has happened to me before that the inspector checked and it came with a big red X then I told them I paid Google pay and they let me go.

Today it wasn't busy at the station so I approached an inspector asking I just paid using Google pay, will it show in your machine. It did show that I paid. Now I'm wondering how it actually does work.

Is it safer to ride in the center of the lane?

Today I rode my bike on the road for the first time in a couple of years, and as expected, it was intimidating. I was riding on Kingston Road in the rightmost of three lanes, but I stayed close to the curb rather than riding in the middle of the lane. Multiple cars overtook me very closely, clearly not treating the bike as a vehicle occupying the full lane.

In hindsight, would it actually be safer to ride in the centre of the lane and take up the whole lane?

WIBTA for introducing myself as "Senior" BA, instead of just BA

I'm a Business Analyst and recently got promoted to Senior BA. Recently someone outside of the work setup asked what I do. I said I'm a Senior BA then later thought if adding senior sounds I'm trying to brag or show off.

WIBTA for introducing myself as Senior BA when meeting new people including dates?

Remittance to Sonali Bank temporarily unavailable

I live abroad and send remittance using Remitly to my family's Sonali Bank account. Today it's showing that Sonali Bank is "temporarily unavailable" and asking to put another bank.

Has anyone else experienced this or does anyone know the issue with Sonali Bank?

PF app asking for credit card as backup, again!

When I logged into my app today it asked for a credit card as a backup payment method. I specifically remember that I got this notification months ago and provided my credit card as a backup payment method. Also I remember that the credit card number used to show as backup in the app. Now it's all gone. Has this happened to anyone else? I'm wondering if they had a data loss issue. I'm in Canada btw.

Louis Capaldi's April 23rd, 2026 concert in Toronto was rescheduled a day earlier on April 22nd. They allowed a full refund for the original date. I requested a refund on April 20th but I haven't got the money yet. Has anyone got the refund from Ticketmaster?

I started going to the gym about 8 months ago. My schedule was pretty rough. I can't rush in the morning so I used to wake up at 3/3:30 in the morning, have a coffee, then leave for the gym at around 4:30 sometime even 5. Then I get back after 2 hours, get ready for work and leave for work.

With this routine my body was completely crashing after lunch around 2/3 in the afternoon. It was getting embarrassing because I was drooling on my desk. Even on weekends if I go to any fun events in the afternoon my body was crashing and I felt super tired.

I did not want to skip the gym but that extreme tiredness in the afternoon was impacting my daily life. Last week I made one simple change, I skipped the coffee I used to drink before going to the gym and took my first sip in the office. That made a huge difference. Now I have an abundance of energy throughout the day. I know how caffeine works but it feels amazing when I actually implement the heck on my body.
