Thinking about starting Xero & QuickBooks training classes

Hello! I’m a Xero and QuickBooks Partner, have completed all certification levels and badges, and have been using both systems for over 12 years in my CPA practice.

I’d love to help bookkeepers and accountants learn these platforms and share tips on passing the certification exams.

Would anyone be interested?
Let me know in the comments!

‼️ EDIT:

Thank you sa lahat ng nag comment.

For the avoidance of doubt, the training will be conducted live via Zoom or Google Meet and will include practical, hands-on applications, along with dedicated Q&A sessions.

I've trained hundreds of business owners and professionals with no accounting background, so the sessions are designed to be clear and friendly for everyone.

You'll also receive training materials to support your preparation for the certification exams. The materials are designed to help you achieve the required passing score.

Business owners in the UAE: kamusta Corporate Tax at VAT ng business mo?

Hello Kabayans~

Have you sorted the Corporate Tax and VAT compliance ng business mo sa UAE?

I’m an accountant with 12 years of experience in the UAE. I've worked with many SMEs here and they're still not fully sure kung tama ba ang bookkeeping nila or fully compliant ba sila under UAE tax rules.

That’s why I started a small accounting firm helping SMEs with:

• Bookkeeping & clean-up ng accounts
• VAT registration & filing
• Corporate Tax registration & filing
• Financial reporting & cash flow tracking
• Accounting system setup and ongoing accounting support

Usually, business owners only realize issues kapag may penalties na. So malaking bagay pag sa umpisa pa lang maayos na yung setup.

Kung di ka pa rin sure sa accounting setup or tax position ng business mo, happy to provide guidance.

40 pax Wedding in Thailand - Need advice and recommendations

Hi everyone! My partner and I are planning a destination wedding in Thailand for 2027 and would really appreciate any advice or recommendations.

Our background: we’re a female couple, legally married in the US already, but we want to have a symbolic ceremony to celebrate with family and friends. We’re based in Dubai, and our guests will be traveling mostly from Dubai, plus some from the US, UK, and the Philippines. We’re expecting around 30–40 guests, including 5 kids (all under 8).

We’ve been researching venues in Phuket, Koh Samui, and Krabi. Based on quotes so far, our estimated budget is around USD 10k–20k total, ideally including:

  • our flights + accommodation (for couple only)
  • ceremony + reception
  • food & drinks for the wedding day

I’ve been looking at packages in My Overseas Wedding, has anyone here used them before? Any reviews?

For example:

  • Sheraton Koh Samui quoted around USD 7k for venue, canapes/drinks, reception dinner/drinks, wedding cake, bouquet, and some extras but accommodation isn’t included yet.
  • We also considered The Grotto in Krabi, which looks amazing, but pricing starts around USD 10k+ and requires a minimum 10 rooms/night combination.

A few questions:

  • How do hotel group bookings usually work for destination weddings? Do hotels reserve room blocks for guests? Do guests book/pay themselves? Or do couples usually handle bookings and guests pay at check-in?
  • Besides covering wedding day food and drinks, what else do couples usually pay for? Unfortunately we can’t afford accommodations for everyone, though we may help immediate family. Since guests are already paying for flights + hotels, I’d love ideas on how to still make everyone feel appreciated and taken care of.
  • How long do guests typically stay? We’re thinking of staying 4–5 nights ourselves to enjoy the trip. Is that common for guests too, or do most people just stay 2–3 nights?
  • Do we need a separate wedding planner if booking directly with a hotel package? Or is the hotel coordinator usually enough for a wedding this size?
  • Any recommendations for photographers/videographers in Phuket, Samui, or Krabi?
  • Any tips for LGBTQ friendly vendors/venues in Thailand would also be super appreciated ❤️

Any advice, budgeting tips, or personal experiences would mean a lot. Thank you!

looking for a lowkey proposal spot in dubai

hey everyone,

i’m planning to propose to my girlfriend soon and i’m trying to find a nice spot in dubai that feels quiet, comfortable, and lowkey. we’re a female couple, so i’d really love somewhere we can just enjoy the moment without feeling awkward or getting unwanted attention.

i’m open to pretty much anything.. a remote cafe, a chill restaurant, somewhere outdoors, a beach spot, etc. doesn’t have to be super fancy, just somewhere with a good vibe and not too crowded.

i’ve also arranged for a photographer to secretly capture the proposal, so ideally the place should have no issue having someone with a professional camera.

if anyone has recommendations or hidden gems they personally love for special occasions, i’d really appreciate it ❤️
