Anyone have stoppage issues with vsf/topf AP 15500 or 15510?

Or withAPSF/ZF. ZF uses same movement as apsf I think so any review on that is also welcome

Best shipping line for big parcel (Ocean/train)?

Hello, I have a big parcel of 50x30x50 4kg. Cheap products (total cost maybe 40 euro) and it does not make sense to pay 50 euro shipping cost. Any good option?

Ocean or train? I don't mind waiting months.

Oiling pen recommendation

Which one have you used and would you recommend?

First pic is a copy of the Bergeon oiler, it has a metal rod that you control up and down to drop oil.

Second pic is just a simple oiling pen that leaves a nice dot of oil when you touch it against a jewel.

Mensen die bij Talent&Pro werken? Tevreden?

Searching for a loupe setup that will give me the most working distance

I found this. Any other recommendation is welcome.

According to the listing: at 2x 25cm working distance, at 4x 12.5cm. That is quite a lot. It allows stacking lenses. I'm no lense expert tho so I don't know if that is true or not. My 5x standard loupe gives about 5cm distance..

Can't find replacement mainspring. Using similar dimensions is ok?

Original (hand wound) mainspring = Seiko 401-450, 1.65x0.15x310x10

Replacement I found that is the closest: 1.60x0.14x280x10

Will this be ok? Thanks in advance :) I appreciate any tips/help.

Always worried about dust. Exaggerating?

So I only have one working room where I also have a sofa close to the bench. I can't remove it so I came up with a routine. I vacuum a few hours before working, I run an air purifier before working and turn it off when starting to minimize dust in the air, I clean every surface with a wet microfibre towel.

Sometimes I still see some dust particles on my bench mat. I also wear a lab coat btw.

I have only ever had dust get on movements a couple times out of a dozen I touched and removed them with rodico. Am I worried for nothing?

Those that do watchrepair professionally, how is the current economy impacting amount of repairs?

My watchmaker said he is getting less and less repairs recently. Don't know if it is widespread. Feel sorry as it would be bad to see watchmakers with years of experience go out of business. I understand that stuff like cleaning liquids, epilame ain't cheap either.
