So do most of you stockpile printer filament and wait for proficiency events to power level expertise

Because I’m almost at the cap and was wondering if that’s the most efficient way to grind out expertise 30

Ember Engine showed me the difference in threat levels

Any time I run striker or tipping scales I feel like I can’t even poke my head out. Enemies die but aggro is always on me.

So I decided to try the ember engine build with Scorpio and the drone.

I feel like I can just walk around tagging enemies and hardly ever get shot at unless I’m way out of position meanwhile enemies are burning and the dps gets to do their thing and it’s the most fun I’ve had in a long time.

This game looks really good but I’m hesitant of the combat

Not a huge fan of the directional combat I typically prefer free flow simpler combat but don’t want to miss an amazing game for it.

So just wanted to ask those that got early access what their thoughts on the combat are.

Is improved arcane needed for a poison iron eye build or is it a waste of a slot

I know attack up when damaging a poisoned enemy, +1 character skill, and maybe the gnoster relic help a lot but just curious about his improved arcane relic since on raider it makes a huge difference

It’s getting to the point I keep Microcosm on hand for barrier champions in end game content

It’s the only thing I’ve found that destroys their shield with minimal ammo.

Everything else just feels like im shooting marshmallows.

What other non exotic weapons are you guys using for them?

Question for men in long term relationships/marriage

When your partner seems to only want to vent and when you’re a problem solver and focus on just fixing the problem.

How do you navigate the conversation so that it doesn’t end in an argument?

Lately I try to listen to where she is coming from but it’s starting to get exhausting just focusing on how a problem makes her feel instead of actually fixing the problem.

Odyssey is Still my Favorite

I know this is gonna sound dumb but Odyssey doesn’t feel like Assassins Creed and just a straight up action rpg.

The random rolls on loot, engraving, mastery system, combat, location all just flowed better for me.

I can replay it so much just because of how ridiculously overpowered you become especially if you get all the DLC which lets your assassin abilities do AOE damage.

I felt rewarded for exploring, killing mercenaries, and fighting on an actual battlefield.

I wish I could say the same for Valhalla but for some reason it just isn’t clicking like with odyssey does anyone else feel like this and I haven’t played shadows yet.

I wish more builds were viable in escalation

When I don’t see anything I want for targeted loot I’ll just run ongoing directive in T1-2 for a change of pace. I had a group on mics saying they didn’t understand why players say you need strikers.

I switched to my full prototype paradox/echo striker and ran the same tier escalation and went from 56 kills to 98 and we shaved nearly 4 mins off our time.

The other player said ok that’s a huge difference but all I could think about yes huge difference but so boring.

I feel like prototype gear made builds that weren’t viable before actually viable in almost all content except escalation where you actually get the gear.

I like skills, explosions, status effects etc. But in order to do T7+ so many builds just can’t cut it unfortunately.

Why is it so hard to find a stormbringer sword replica

I know raven armoury offers one but it’s thousands of dollars and I haven’t seen a museum replica version in years. I just got into the character and now I started collecting both books and comics and really wish there was a way to get a good replica sword.

I don’t think I will ever host again

I don’t know what is but every time I host mfs change builds mid match thinking T7+ is the time to try a new theory craft build.

I’m not saying you have to play the meta but ffs at least have an optimized build for what you’re trying to do.

I swear they think slapping Prototype gear on makes them invincible and just go full Rambo.

But anytime I queue it’s damn near smooth sailing either all dps or 1 healer but I swear if I’m host I get brain dead zombie commandos

I did not know the Sheriff Shotgun was this good

For the longest time I would here that distinguished sound it makes when other players used it and never used it myself.

I was fooling around with my striker paradox build with a prototype AA-12 I got but I gotta say the Sheriff just is so good.

So I’ve been doing an experiment in escalation the past few days

TLDR at the bottom:

I’m only SHD 600 but have been comfortably running T5s on PS5.

With the recent leader dodging I’ve been promoted to leader a lot so I just accepted it but if players join I have two rules:

  1. We decide before running if I am on dps or healer?

  2. If I’m on heals no fucking Rambo lone wolf separating from the group bs and I make sure you all stay alive if you go off on your own we get you when it’s safe and no sooner.

I ran roughly 20 escalations this way some with everyone on comms and some where I was the only one on comms.

Of the 20 we cleared 17 runs (two were disconnect errors and one ppl changed gear mid run without saying anything).

The best runs I had were me being on heals with infinite seeker mine and hive with BTSU gloves.

I then ran another 20 runs this time completely quiet just put on prototype striker, an mk46 with strained and an aa-12 both prototype.

This time no communication just treated it like I would a retaliation. I not only watched multiple 5k+ SHD players die before me, but 8/20 runs I watched players legit stop shooting just to see how good I could kill enemies on my own.

Without communication teams and I cleared 11/20 runs and some of those were players just leaving mid match.

TLDR: While I understand a lot of the community may not like how prototype gear was implemented please do not take it out on competent players that share the same goal of getting good loot.

Would you all be happier if weapons you prototyped that were expertise 30 had a chance to either get 2 max rolls or a perfected trait

I’m only SHD 525 but have been having a blast ever since I got back. Prototype gear has me able to be useful in content across the board and I’ve both been helped as well as helped a lot of players in escalation.

However I see a lot of high SHD players feeling like it’s a slap in the face that I got the gear I have even though I grinded for it albeit minus the 30 expertise which I understand.

I do wish however that players could enjoy the game but alas with this added I know a lot of players are not skilled or high enough SHD to actually stay alive or actually optimize their builds and I think this is another huge part of the problem since you can very easily be carried sub T5.

So I pose this: weapons that you leveled up to expertise 30 have 2 guaranteed max rolls or receive a perfected version of the trait on the weapon.

This would make it so they truly feel unique since they cannot be re-rolled and gives endgame players more chances at better loot but allows low SHD players to still receive Prototype gear just they will be pure RNG.

I’m tired of running striker is refractor, tipping scales or future initiative my only alternatives

I have almost everything prototyped except a hollow man mask but I’m bored out of my mind playing striker when I prefer skill builds but I don’t want to get kicked.

What are you guys running when you get tired of just straight dps?

So I’m only SHD 450 but I have gone as high as T7 before feeling I was at my limit.

I have been running 4 pc striker all prototype, 1pc ceska, and hollow man mask with a Prototype first bloom and a prototype aa-12 shotgun.

My question is would it be more helpful to run pestilence with turmoil to help spread out the damage
