[Baki] Pickle's origin sort of explains all the crazy stuff in the entire seriea

The fact that Pickle lived with the dinosaurs means that in the Bakiverse humans were prey animals that had to adapt fighting dinosaurs.

Meaning they most likely never had time to evolve rational brains and had to adapt to immense evolutionary pressure.

And given that he doesn't say HOW the dinos went extinct it could very well be that Baki Sapiens had to kill the dinosaurs themselves. Hell it is entirely likely the Baki Sapiens didn't have time to really develop tools or rational thought and technology and tools came way later after we they were gone. So every single human ancestor was a paranoid stressed out muscle freak that had no tools except their fists and had to adapt their bodoes to survivong fighting thunder lizards, hance weaponized schizophrenia.

So everyone now is a hyperviolent muscle freak with weird powers because they descend from those people.

Hear me out

Discussing casting a possible Elric movie with a friend and our "dream actor" for it. Now, given that Elric is described as frail and the Melniboneans AREN'T human, I floated the idea that Tilda Swinton would make a baller ass Elric. And I'm not saying it as a "statement," but more in the sense of showing a willowy body that lacks the sheer muscle and relies on Stormbringer and magic to dominate his foes.

Also, Tilda Swinton was amazing as Gabriel in Constantine.

Nan Gadol: my Fist of the North Star themed punh wizard setting

High level stuff first: I've been working on a Fist of the North Star themed TTRPG in my spare time and developing the world of Nan Gadol. You probably can't see the subtle nod, but the world is essentially super-onspiracy Earth surrounded by an ice wall. With that out of the way, here's the cool stuff.

Nan Gadol is a flat world, encased in two hemispehres that make up the Firmement, each connecting to the domains of Law and Chaos. In the early days of creation, the two forces decided to make the world as their battlefield to have their final confrontation in and decide the fate of reality. The confrontation was called the Godswar.

Unfortunately for them, the war was mutually destructive, with the gods annihilating each other and the civilizations of Nan Gadol in the process, leaving it mostly in ruin. Stragglers from the Godswar still remain in the world, desperately seeking to escape it or end it, while humanity must rebuild from the ashes. Thankfully, we have all the ancient half-rememebered punch magic of the gods we have propagated for 200 years to help us survive in the savage wastes we once called home.

This is of course a kitchen sink setting, combining the best parts of history, myth and pulpy scifi I like. If it doesn't make sense but it's cool, it's in there. And before you ask, yes I will eventually make a better looking map when I can spare the time.

I'll be listing some of the most important landmarks and answering questions to the best of my ability (or making stuff up as I go).

The Clustertruck: an artificial canyon containing trapped feral automobiles from the Godswar, kept in check for 7 generations by the Car Warrior Tribes

Giant Dead God: What it says on the tin. The titan's body has caused Nan Gadol to slightly tilt since it fell and its corpse has fed innumerable generations of carrion eaters

The Heap: a continent-sized heap of semi-intelligent waste and wrecks of ships, whipped together by straggler demons

Rakshastan: the domain of pwoeful feline chaos wizard kung-fu masters

Vampire Dominions: the last remains of the once vast vampire empire that briefly rose in the aftermath of the Godswar

Thunder Lizard Hegemony: Aztec dinosaurs. They were here before the Godwar and don't like the Vampires on their turf.

Gorilla Whale Reef: A gigantic Kaiju reef that spawns colossal amphiban monsters

Ashuran Empire: a human-led empire hellbent on building a tower to pierce the firmament and take over the universe beyond Nan Gadol

[TOMT] Pimple popping video with a crazy gaping pore

Saw this video on a playlist I found through r/popping but have been unable to find it since.

The video was shot in low resolution so I assume it was set in mid-00s to early 10s and showed a man at the dermatologist with a crazy big zit/cyst on his neck. The nurse removed it with tweezers in one big piece, cyst and all, after she asked him to stop poking it.

The thing left a huge gaping pore on his neck after (according to him) having been there for years, so the nurse gave it a spray of saline and told him to leave it alone.

The video must have been around 4 minutes tops.

Appreciate any assistance.

Why did Ryoko the witch turn into a pile of feathers?

Reading the Grasdcutter arc and I am wondering why Ryoko (the witch) turned into a pile of feathers when she died along with Kitanamono. Is this referencing a legend or is Sakai just doing a bit of worldbuilding in universe?

I don't bother with the Ascension War in my games anymore: instead, I have gone full Unknown Armies and say that Mages are willworkers that are extremely rare, operating at the edges of society in loose associations, each for their own gain.

While that Technocracy doesn't exist, there is an SCP Foundation equivalent (called United Normality) which contains and uses Mages to make sure the world doesn't fall apart.

Marauders still exist, but those are largely what happens to VERY powerful mages that aren't contained and usually go mad with power.

The ONLY organization of note in the setting are the Nephandi, who have worked to annihilate reality since the dawn of creation and are solely responsible for all supernatural awfulness in the world.

What's up with you homie? What's your homebrew like?
