Has anyone else experienced periods like this after stopping birth control?

Hi everyone! I wanted to see if anyone has experienced something similar.
I stopped birth control almost two years ago, and my periods are pretty different than they used to be. Typically, I’ll have about two days of brown spotting before my actual period starts. Once my period begins, the flow is kind of strange—it’ll be a normal red flow for a while, then completely stop for an hour or so, then start back up again much lighter. It pretty much goes back and forth between flowing and stopping throughout my period. During the last couple of days, it’s usually just light brown spotting with the same start-and-stop pattern.
I’m curious if anyone else has periods like this. I’m planning to start trying to conceive relatively soon, so naturally I’m wondering if this could be a sign of a fertility issue or if it’s just how some people’s periods are.
For some background, I brought this up with my OB-GYN back in December 2025. They ran some basic hormone testing (FSH, LH, and prolactin) and also did a pelvic ultrasound, and they didn’t find anything concerning.
Has anyone had a similar period pattern and still gone on to conceive without any issues? Or did you ever find out what was causing it?

Should i be worried?

Hi everyone! My husband and I recently got married, and we’re planning to start actively trying for a baby next year.
One thing that’s been on my mind is that we’ve been having unprotected sex for over a year (most of the time with no pull-out method), and I’ve never had a pregnancy scare or even a late period that made me wonder if I was pregnant.
Should I be concerned about that? Has anyone else been in a similar situation and still gone on to conceive without any issues once they actually started trying?
I know pregnancy can take time and that timing around ovulation matters, but I can’t help wondering if the fact that we’ve never had even a “maybe I’m pregnant” moment is a red flag. I’d really appreciate hearing your experiences.

I’m in desperate need of advice! Induce Period

I’m getting married on June 13, and according to my cycle tracker, my period is expected to start on June 12. 😭 I would love for it to come even 2–3 days earlier so I don’t have to spend my wedding day and honeymoon dealing with my period. I’m trying to conceive after the wedding, so I really don’t want to take hormonal medication like Wisp’s period delay option if I can avoid it. I’d prefer to try something natural first and not mess with my hormones right before TTC.
Has anyone successfully induced their period to come a few days early naturally? If so, what worked for you?
I’ve heard about raspberry leaf tea and have actually drank it in the past, but I don’t think it ever made my period come early. I’ve also seen people mention parsley tea, ginger tea, vitamin C, acupuncture, exercise, etc., but I’m not sure if any of those actually work.
I know there are no guarantees, but I’d love to hear real experiences from anyone who has been in a similar situation. What, if anything, helped bring your period on earlier?
